Great neighborhood, family-run restaurant. I recently traveled to Korea, & I have to say the food here was authentic, delicious, & reasonably priced. The service was excellent from start to finish. I'd definitely come back!
This is the BEST hidden Gem in the city located on Somerled for Coreen/Japanese cuisine. Excellent choices, generous size portions, family oriented, friendly staff, owners are very caring.
Delicious family friendly spot with great variety & something for everyone. Kids looooved it! Chicken was super juicy & crispy, highly recommend any of their fried chicken dishes. Other Korean classics are also beautifully prepared & generously portioned. Excellent wait staff - fast courteous service but not overbearing. We'll be back!
Just had a really great dinner here with my family. The food was really, really good! The place is super cute & we had attentive & courteous service. The salmon tartare was one of the tastiest I've ever had. The seafood pancake was a fun appetizer to share. The soy & garlic boneless fried chicken was delicious as were the sweet & spicy fried chicken & the Donkatsu. I am looking forward to trying some of their other specialities.
I eat Korean food often with my family since it's the one cuisine we all agree on. We wanted to try something new & came across Miga on this platform. I was a bit skeptical at first because the ratings were so high, but after looking through the reviews & photos, it seemed worth a visit.
We went on a busy night with a couple of large groups seated at other tables, & seeing only two servers had me expecting long waits. Surprisingly, the food came faster than expected & almost all at once-appetizers & mains together. Everything was very flavourful, & we thoroughly enjoyed each dish. The standout was the Osam Bulgogi, where squid & pork were served in a rich, tasty sauce. We also ordered the salmon tartare & the salmon onion rolls. Both were excellent, & it was impressive to see a Korean restaurant deliver sushi this well. I would return just for the sushi & to try more of their dishes-that's how good it was.
Service was attentive, & kudos to the two servers who handled the entire restaurant on such a busy night.
Came here because we thought it was the old HoHo restaurant. However we were surprised with a new Korean restaurant! The food quality was excellent. Amazing homemade Korean food. Portions were huge & price was fair. This is a place where you can bring friends & family & have a good time.
My husband & I had a lovely dinner at Miga, a cozy, family-owned Korean restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes & genuinely enjoyed our meal.
The bulgogi beef stew was a standout - the broth was rich, flavorful, & slightly sweet, though a bit on the oily side. The seafood pancake was decent, & the salmon tataki made a great starter - the tangy, sour flavor really helped open the appetite. We also tried the japchae, which was delicious & well-seasoned, though also a touch too oily for my taste.
One thing I really appreciated is that the meal came with small Korean side dishes (banchan) - something many restaurants either don't offer or charge extra for. It made the experience feel more authentic & generous.
Service was excellent - quick & efficient - & our waitress was incredibly friendly & welcoming. Overall, a great experience with comforting Korean food. Would happily come back to try more from the menu!
