Great outdoor terrace with plenty of space & a nice beer selection (though very IPA focused). Kid friendly, delicious food & awesome music. Highly recommended.View more
I really love beer & heard from all my friends I had to drop by while visiting from Vancouver. Messorem did not disappoint. We don't get quality NEIPA's out west & the two I tried were some of the best I've ever had! I had an ipa & dipa that were so so so so good!
The barrelled saisons on tap also were fantastic & not to be missed. As a saison lover I was very happy! I also enjoyed a lager (New Zealand?) that was a nice crispi boi to finish off my experience.
Gonna say that this is a MUST TRY stop for any beer lover.
The staff were amazing & helpful in selecting the perfect beers (je ne sais pas lire le francais) & also took some time to chat with me about the brewery & what beers were popular & a specialty.
The industrial location was dope & so glad I got out of the DT, & more gentrified neighbourhoods.
Lastly let's talk about the food. Beers were 10/10 but the smash burger also was one the best I've had & definitely a foodies life goals. It wasn't trying to be anything fancy but a simply perfectly executed smash burger. Tellement incroyable & delicieux! Frites & poutine also deserve an honourable mention!
Anyhow I'll be remembering these beers for a while & begging my Montreal friends to haul some suitcase beers on their next visit out west!
Cheers!View more
Messorem is one of my go-to spots for beers in Montreal. Superb selection of top quality IPA & lager. & they serve food, too!View more
Visited on August 22, 2020, in early afternoon. Located in the upper part of Côte-Saint-Pierre, between the Lachine Canal & Autoroute 15, for cyclist it's half way between McAuslan Brewery & the Atwater Market. The brewery is next the a aqua (with some white & rust) water tower, which explains the colors on the logo. Street parking only. They are in a former industrial building, with graffitis that was there before they opened. Quit a large patio with aqua picnic tables & a few Adirondack/Muskoka chairs. The inside has a long bar, a few lounge sofas, not much more sitting places because of COVID-19 (not stools at the bar for now), it looks industrial with a few art works. Because of the pandemic, service is at the bar only. Quit a small food menu, a few mexican stuff, some hot dog & snacks. More than a dozen, maybe 20ish beers on tap. You know the saying "variety is the spice of life", well you won't find it here, about 90% of the taps are some forms of hazy IPA, there are a few gose (sour salty ales) & a larger, but that is it. Fans of the New England style will be happy, until they are pass that phase!View more
Tough to find a better IPA in Montreal. Them & BreWskey are top tier. They should really sell single cans & mix packs though. All other top breweries do it. Gotta remove 1 star until they fix thatView more
Best brewery in Montreal. Outstanding ipa list & many others. Great space inside & out.View more
We stopped here fr the first time during our stay in Old Montreal. It was ~15-20 minutes from our hotel so we opted to drive. Plenty of street parking was available. It is a large place with plenty of outdoor & indoor seating. We had a NE IPA & a gose & really enjoyed both. There were so many to choose from & while flights weren't available, they were happy to let me try the gose before ordering. It's a comfortable setting, great customer service & delicious beer. We just had lunch otherwise we would have definitely ordered food- it looked great!View more
View more
Best craft beer in Canada, possibly the world. There, I've said it. The IPAs are the highlight here & well worth the money. The patio is always humming & it's an absolutely great place for an afternoon in the sun. Huge fans.View more
Probably the best premium craft beer in Montreal. It is not a cheap beer, but you get what you pay for. Excellent beers. The different IPA's are all amazing. Over the years they added a terrace, food & more beers. The triple IPA is 10 % of pure nectar. It will blow you away.View more
I love this brewery! A ton of IPA to choose from. Delicious smoothie beers on rotation. Complete with funky hipster vibes.View more
View more
I gave it 5 stars for food but that's in reference to the beer. They honestly make some of the best beer in all of Canada. If you're in Montreal & you like craft beer (especially IPAs) you NEED to visit Messorem. They also have some of the best brewery merch.View more
Nice sitting, good local IPA beers, one of my favorite pubs in MontrealView more
Definitely one of the best microbreweries in Montreal. If you are into IPA, you just have to.View more
Great place to hang out. Go-to day spot. Amazing Hazy IPAs!View more
Really great spot! Amazing poutine, a solid lager & IPA selection. Really cool atmosphere with cozy chairs & plants inside & a big urban graffiti art outside space.View more
View more
View more
Amazing IPAs, & their smoothie sours are incredible . Only bad part is they close early & sometimes line ups are long for beers, would be great to have table serviceView more
Beautiful selection of craft beer. Strong emphasis on IPAs & other hoppy beers but other styles show up too. Decent basic pub food, but come here for the beer, not for the fish & chips.View more
We did not eat but stopped in for one of their excellent IPAsView more
I am a Cicerone & I have no idea how this brewery is so highly rated... I bought multiple 4 packs (extremely disappointing that they don't sell singles) & all of them were totally off. One IPA was extremely muted, tasted like nothing. The other carried so much heat from either raw hops or over fermentation that I had to pour it down the drain. Will be going to the brewery for a refund. The only positive Le were the bartender was very friendly.View more
Cool vibe at this place. Tons of beers to choose from. IPA's are amazing. Try the smoothies for something different. Great food as well! Dogs allowed which is awesome! A must try!View more
Had to make a stop at Messorem while in Montreal, rated the 6th best brewery in all of Canada. If you like IPAs, it's truly a must. I've also recently got into sour smoothies & they have several incredible varieties here too. Bit of a shame you can't get individual tall boys, have to get packs of 4. Would have been nice to get more of a variety to bring back to Ontario but at $22-28 per 4 pack, wasn't feasible to get too many. Not unexpected in terms of pricing though, especially for TIPAs.View more
Une des meilleures microbrasserie de Montréal. Les IPA & DIPA sont incroyables. Tellement goûteuse, & toujours parfaite.View more
