We opened our first cafe in 2013 with the mission of offering specialty coffee in a warm and inclusive environment.
During our expansion, we quickly understood that as a company, our central commitment was to our employees. It is with them and thanks to them that everything else is possible.
Overall, MELK Café is described as a cozy inviting spot with strong coffee and a reputation for tasty home style snacks and fresh scones. Reviewers praise drinks like dulce de leche latte, lavender latte, chai and matcha, and note excellent latte art and quick friendly service in many visits. The pastry selection gets frequent praise with many loving the variety of scones such as everything bagel with cream cheese, lemon cherry and chocolate blueberry, though some say they can sell out early. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable and good for studying or working, but seating is limited and the space can feel crowded and noisy during busy times. Service quality is mixed in a few cases, and a few comments mention a prompt for tipping at payment and occasional lapses in attentiveness. A handful of critiques point to milder or flat coffee profiles and higher prices, yet many call MELK Café among the best in Montreal and a worthwhile visit for those seeking good coffee and standout baked goods.
Visited this cute cafe in Montreal. I got an iced lavender latte that was pretty good. Initially I wasn't sure about the lavender syrup, but it grew on me.
The service was mediocre. I feel that the server was quite young & wasn't warm (however I feel that is the Gen Z culture these days)

The matcha is good, but it was overpriced considering I ordered a large iced coffee & matcha, & the matcha cup was smaller.
The'bio-milk' they use is nothing special besides your regular grocery, affordable milk. At the very least, I thought it would be one of those fancy, expensive grocery milks.
The pastries are also good, but are just a bit too sweet for my taste.
Very cute shop; went for the scones! They were fine; moist & well made but perhaps lacking in a flavour oomph (especially for the apple scone). The lattes, though, were excellent! There were only two flavours & the shop was busy. Go early!
J'avais peut-être des attentes trop élevées, mais je n'y retournerai pas. Le café & l'ambiance étaient ordinaires & il faisait chaud. & c'est pas donné. Bref, expérience très bof.

A cute little shop, nice to have a quick grab. The store is pretty small so it took a while to get the drink & not too many seats. I do like my ice latte. 🙂
the best scone I've ever tried specially the lemon cherry one, the cortado also was well done & has a strong taste. I loved it so much & planing to come back definitely
One of the servers this morning was rude to me. He didn't want to serve me for any reasons & kept washing dishes. The barista who were supposed to do the coffees only, saw the situation & came himself to take the order. The rude server then shout at me'receipt'? Who does that & what was his problem?? The Latte I took was terrible. Only milk & I couldn't feel a drop of coffee.
Very good coffee generally & a great reputation. The chocolate wasn't mixed well in my mocha leaving a bunch of half-melted chocolate at the bottom so a little disappointed there. Will come back to try again though
