Valter is extremely polite, very thorough & never forgot any items we asked for. He suggested drinks to pair our food with & was just absolutely wonderful. Would come here again in hopes of getting him as our waiter.
Méchant Boeuf never disappoints, & our latest visit was no exception! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm & inviting, setting the perfect stage for an incredible evening.
A huge shoutout to our waiter, Valter, who was unbelievably kind, knowledgeable, & professional, truly a top-tier waiter. His recommendations were spot on, his attention to detail impeccable, & his genuine passion for hospitality made our experience even more special. Service like this is rare, & Valter set the bar incredibly high.
Of course, the food was outstanding as always perfectly cooked steaks, lovely wine, & a lively yet cozy ambiance that makes Méchant Boeuf one of our favorite spots in Montreal.

J'ai passé une magnifique soirée en solitaire dans ce restaurant. Avec un service chaleureux & efficace par Mr. Kamel, je n'ai manqué de rien. Du plat jusqu'au service du vin, tout y était; professionnel & agréable. Je ne peux que recommander à quiconque désire profiter des lueurs chaudes du vieux Montréal en profitant d'un délicieux repas.
Nous y avons passé un très beau moment : l'ambiance est agréable, le service (& tout particulièrement celui de Jérôme, qui nous a très bien accueilli) était irréprochable & on y sert des produits d'une excellente qualité. Un incontournable dans le Vieux port !
My wife & I tried out this restaurant that is one of 3 in the Hotel Nelligan where we are staying. From the moment we arrived the service of all the staff was excellent but I would like to especially highlight the very welcoming & professional service that our main waitress Amelie provided to us! (15 out of 10!!!)
The food was nicely presented & my steak was quite good although my steak had to be reheated .My wife had only a Caesar salad with a shrimp cocktail & the shrimp were excellent but she found the salad was too heavy & too full of ingredients like bacon, Parmesan cheese, soggy croutons & way too much salad dressing! Despite that we enjoyed our evening because of the nice ambiance & excellent & friendly service of all the staff & especially Amelie who made us feel very special!!!
We went there for dinner & had a wonderful time. All of the staff were so kind & knowledgeable. My wife ended up not feeling well during the meal so we had to leave early & the waiter graciously included a box of delicious pastries for each of us because he felt bad. All of the flavors of our meal were amazing!

it was my friend & I's first time in Montreal & the staff was so welcoming!! we had kamel & he was very sweet & accommodating. the food was delicious as well as the drinks. i high recommend:)
