Visited Le Méchant Boeuf last night & they truly went above & beyond. Even though a few items on the menu weren't available, the team made it an unforgettable experience-starting with a glass of champagne & ending with delicious desserts on the house.
A huge thank you to Amélie & our server, who were absolutely perfect-friendly, attentive, & made the evening feel so special. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!
Couldn't express more how good everything was, from the excellent service from Valter, stead was cooked perfectly to my liking & an unforgettable atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone who's looking for good food, service & atmosphere!

This restaurant is beautiful & romantic, with the exposed brick & dim lights inside. Our server, Sarah, was the most kind, attentive & polite. She made our anniversary night perfect. We had the seafood platter to start. It was incredibly fresh. For entrees we had the short rib & rib steak & both were flavourful & delicious. highly recommended.
Simon was extremely attentive & genuinely courteous. He took the time to explain things we were unsure of & made us feel comfortable. Highly recommend the scallops.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday & I had an amazing experience. The food was excellent & the atmosphere was very pleasant.
The staff were very attentive & professional, & I truly appreciate their service.

A bit of a late review but about 3 weeks ago, I walked in as a solo diner & left as if I came with friends! Valter is a one of a kind server & I wish him eternal joy & happiness in his life. His high intellect & charisma really brings a certain charm to dinner that rarely occurs on solo nights out. I expressed my desire to order in French & practice with him & he actually let me! He was patient with me as both a customer & a student of the French language. Granted it wasn't busy either but it still means something when your meal doesn't feel transactional or rushed as some places had made me feel (especially with my limited French). I will definitely be coming back on my next visit to Montreal for another pleasant experience at this restaurant. I had the dumplings, the short ribs, the side salad (not pictured) , one of the desserts that had icecream in shortbread(? I think) & a glass of wine. Also the bread is FAB!!! The place is pricey but I would still recommend it for my above budget/treatyoself girlies & would definitely had split all of these if I had a friend with me (I was eating with my eyes when I ordered). Can't wait to come back !!

We were visiting from Edmonton & had a wonderful experience at Méchant Boeuf! The service was outstanding - our server, Valter, was friendly, attentive, & so kind with our kids. Our teens are in French immersion & were excited to practice their French on this trip. They did all the ordering for the table, & Valter & the staff encouraged them, making it extra special.
The food was excellent - beautifully prepared & delicious. Two members of our family have celiac disease, & the staff were very knowledgeable & accommodating with gluten-free options.
Overall, a fantastic dining experience that we'd highly recommend!
The French onion soup was amazing. Wonderful filet mignon. Espresso martini, & The Pink Dove were great drinks. I recommend this place if you're in Montreal.
Abel was actually badass! I've been learning French for almost a year now & not only did he provide amazing service but he helped me with my French. I was given the French menu & he spoke to me in French & ensured I understood everything. The food was so awesome. Would recommend! From TX.
Délicieux ! Présence d'alternatives végétariennes (je recommande le burger végétarien) & mention spéciale pour les cotes braisées ! Vin également excellent.

Un endroit où se rendre sans problème, un très bon accueil, de la très bonne cuisine ,de bon conseils surtout de la part de Julien qui a été très attentionné avec nous tout au long du repas.Jai même eu la chance que celui ci me fasse un délicieux Irish Coffee. Donc je recommande vivement.
