The menu was diverse for all types of eaters. The food was well seasoned & delicious (fyi - the ribs are a healthy portion, 2 ppl care share one serving).
Sarah R, our server was detail oriented & super attentive - she always came by then the water glasses were empty or we wanted to order more cocktails… she was so pleasant & fun!

Excellente soirée où tout était juste parfait. Toute l'équipe a été attentionée, chaleureuse & sympathique. Simon, Walter, Amélie ont été professionels. Malheureusement j'ai oublié le noms des autres membres de l'équipe mais mes remerciements & commentaires s'addressent aussi à eux. La nourriture excellente, assiettes magnifiques. J'ai adoré & je recommande fortement. Tout de l'entrée au dessert était sublime!!! Juste Miam. Je reviendrai bientôt.

One of My Best Dining Experiences This Year so Far.
I visited Méchant Boeuf for a farewell dinner on my last night in Montreal, & it was nothing short of exceptional.
I arrived about 10 minutes before my host, who had made the reservation. The hostess greeted me with a warm smile, was incredibly friendly, & seated me right away, a lovely welcome to what would become a memorable evening.
The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between elegant & cozy, ideal for fine dining but still inviting & relaxed. The space was beautifully designed, & it's easy to see why both tourists & locals return time & again. My hosts have dined here often & always had great things to say.
We started with the fried calamari, which was crisp, perfectly seasoned, & full of flavor, a great opener. For the main course, our group shared the largest tomahawk steak on the menu. It came with generous sides & was cooked to a flawless medium rare. Juicy, tender, & flavorfu, it needed no extra seasoning at all. Easily the best steak I've had in quite some time.
Our meal was perfectly complemented by a wine recommended by our attentive & knowledgeable waiter, Simon. He gave us an excellent breakdown of the beef selection process & cooking techniques & helped us find the ideal wine pairing for our meal.
Although we didn't order dessert, we were pleasantly surprised with two boxes of bite-sized sweets to share, a thoughtful touch that ended the night on a high note.
This was easily one of my best restaurant experiences of the year. I highly recommend Méchant Boeuf & would absolutely return. Reservations are recommended!
We had a large group & the place was busy. It took a while to get our drinks & food. However, they were still very professional even with the delay. They also gave us a few complementary boxes of mini desserts because we hadn't ordered any, primarily due to the fact that the appetizer portions were so large & we were full after the main course. Highly recommend!
Among the restaurants in the middle of the tourist attraction, this was one of the very good choices. The atmosphere & price were reasonable enough to celebrate the last day of the trip, & despite being a steakhouse, we had a great selection of dietary options. In particular, Simon, a very friendly server at our table, made our evenings a little more lovely with his positive vibes, recommending good options for local wines, & suggesting group photos first. It was a great experience.
I really adore this place. There food their service everything is upto the mark & over everything I love their goat briyani.

Très belle expérience pour une première fois au Méchant boeuf ! Les plats étaient excellents & les portions genereuses! Leurs cocktails sont délicieux, très bon service de Mia!
Mon copain & moi avons passé une superbe soirée au Méchant Boeuf! Nous avons eu un service impeccable par notre serveur Valter! Nous avons bien hâte d'y retourner & nous espérons le recroiser.
Very enjoyable meal. Amelie was very gracious to us! The short rib was delicious, salmon beautifully cooked. Overall a very good dinner for our first night in Montreal.
