Honestly the dollar sign indicator for this restaurant is wrong, this restaurant should indicate at least 3 dollars signs &/or above... The ambiance was good & the food tasted ok, however the quantity is very limited. I took the NY steak for 52$ & half was fat, mash potatoes were 2 bites only & I only had 3 vegetables (literally 1 tiny broccoli, 1 tiny black carrot & 1 tiny other which I don't recall)... For the price they charge, you would expect a satisfying meal... Also had the dumplings (14$ for 6) which honestly was the most satisfying of the entire meal. Alcohol is also expensive, 1 glass, the cheapest on the menu at 21$... Took over an hour to get the meal I recommend looking at the menu prices before making a reservation. & to finalize, there was a table with a woman & six kids screaming... One would believe at the prices they charge, they would allow specific clientele so everyone could enjoy their evening (Don't get me wrong, I'm a father as well, but this ain't St-Hubert...) The only reason I'm giving 2 Stars is that the waiter deserves one because she was ok I hope this review helps whoever reads it.
This is a wonderful spot in Old Montreal. Our experience began with a warm greeting from the hostess. The ambiance is very nice with tables by the open windows as well as bar seating. It is much larger than it looks from the street. Once seated we were quickly introduced to our server, Valter. His excellent service & assistance with wine selection (with Quentin's input) elevated our dinner experience. It was nice to have a great meal in an environment where the team really wants you to enjoy your visit. We had Chateaubriand which was amazing! The accompanying Bernaise & pepper sauces were excellent. If you are a dessert person, save room for profiteroles or key lime pie.
Wanted to like it based on reviews. Normally not too fussed about service, but with a reservation, it took us 12 minutes after sitting down to actually talk to our server the first time. Ordered the red beer onion soup, seafood tagliatelle & braised short ribs. The soup was quite good, tagliatelle & short ribs left a lot to be desired. The braise was a bit dry & tough in parts. The pasta was a fine, but the flavour was a bit boring. (Lack of contrast) Our server claimed she was busy, but we could see her stopping to chat for long stretches with other tables while my partner's water was unfilled throughout the entire meal. It made us feel quite ignored, which was not great. Not a bad place, but there are better places for the price point & area.
Découvert en pleine après midi , ce restaurant de part sa devanture classique , ne reste pas moins agréable à & surprenant à l'intérieur. Un accueil classique mais restant chaleureux , une décoration & une ambiance tape l'oeil notamment au bar. Ayant pris un plat ( burger ) & un dessert ( brookie) j'ai été agréablement surpris de la qualité des mets par rapport à beaucoup de concurrent , peut être un manque d'originalité dans les ingrédients & la confection mais la qualité est au rendez vous. Le service était très professionnel & surtout très agréable , les compétences sont présentes & c'est ce qu'on attend d'un restaurant de cette gamme. Le seul bémol serait l'attente alors que le restaurant n'avait pas beaucoup de client mais ce défaut est rattraper par une gourmandise offerte par l'entreprise ce qui est un très bon point. Le rapport qualité prix est respectée & c'est un restaurant à faire si vous visitez le vieux port & ses quartiers , c'est un 18,50/20.
Quality steak restaurant in Old Montreal. Great steaks cooked perfectly along with a lovely bottle of red wine. We finished off with liquor coffees. Well looked after by staff, highly recommended.
This restaurant has become our go-to spot for special occasions, & for good reason. We've been going for many years. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, & the service, exemplified by Quentin during our last visit, is outstanding. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience
Nous avons eu un serveur qui semblait peu familier avec la routine du restaurant,il a commandé nos plats mais il semble que le bon a été perdu dans la cuisine!Donc bref l'attente fut longue car le temps de réaliser que nous n'avions pas reçu nos plats cela faisait au moins une bonne heure & demie que nous attendions! heureusement le dj avec un peu de bruit de fond a pu nous faire patienter!points positifs les petits pains chaud délicieux le tartare de boeuf exquis & tagliatelles au fruits de mers excellent!Un gros merci à Simon le gérant qui a été transparent avec nous & nous a expliqué la situation,remplis nos verres de vins,offert deux entrées, des macarons & un shooter!ces petites attention ont été très appréciées .je recommande ce restaurant car malgré cette petite bévue nous avons bien mangés & remarqué l'effort du gérant de vouloir satisfaire ses clients & ça selon moi c'est très important & cela démontre de la classe!un client satisfait en vaut deux!Merci Simon à la prochaine!
Great spot in the old Mtl. The staff is friendly & the receptionist Marie Michelle offered us a great service. I had a great experience & will surely comeback with my team
