Delicious, affordable, & healthy are an impossible trinity. No matter what you choose, you can only satisfy two of these criteria. But this restaurant defies that rule. I loves the large arched windows. The sunset creates a European-style romance.
The schnitzel is fantastic, thinly fried & crispy. Served with lemon slices & a chopped chili & olive ,it's a savory & flavorful dish that cuts through the greasiness. It brings back memories of my time in Austria.
The Alexander's roast chicken is also a standout.
There's ample parking outside the restaurant, which is absolutely convenient.Voir plus

Great location & space. Chicken (4), Ribs (4), Trout (3), Linguine (2). Trout & Linguine very salty. For the quality, probably not worth the price. Asked to have the leftover sides remainder of the ribs to boxed for take out. Somehow only 1 rib made it in the box? Food service is also quite long.Voir plus

Nous étions plus d'une vingtaine alors nous avions un menu de groupe/familiale. Ils ont adapté & fait des accommodements pour ma fille qui est coeliaque & elle a pu manger presque tout ce qui a été servi. Cela s'est super bien passé & elle n'a pas été malade. La nourriture était délicieuse. Le service excellent. À noter que l'A/C aurait besoin d'être ajusté. La lumière est magnifique avec la grande fenestration, mais il fait rapidement très chaud. C'était déjà une journée chaude & humide, mais il faisait aussi chaud à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Le stationnement semble payant, mais cela ne s'applique pas la fin de semaine ce qui est une bonne chose, surtout à Montréal.Voir plus

Possibly one of our favourite spots in Montreal. The food is amazing & the restaurant itself is beautiful with lots of natural sunlight. Our favourites were the prime rib, spicy rigatoni, & the beet salad-though everything else we had was quite good.
On top of this, the service was great. Our server was super personable & absolutely nailed the wine recommendations he gave us. For sure a staple when we visit the city.Voir plus

Je n'aime pas le fait qu'on m'impose le pourboire de 18%. Je n'apprécie pas qu'on exige 40$ de dépôt & avertir 72hrs d'avance si on cancelle. Selon la loi, c'est 3hrs d'avance & 10$.
Nous avons prix le repas de groupe, tout est à volonté. Rendu au dessert, lorsqu'on demande d'autres beignes, tout à coup le serveur nous informe que le dessert n'est pas à volonté.
Repas de groupe avec boisson & pourboire, attendez-vous à sortir votre portefeuille, c'est au alentour de 100$ & plus.Voir plus

Hidden in an industrial area near the Lachine Canal, McKiernan is a true hidden gem by the team behind Joe Beef.
Don't be fooled by the low-key entrance - inside is a warm, plant-filled space with beautiful natural light & high ceilings. Perfect for brunch, solo time, or a relaxed hangout with friends.
Today's special was a perfectly cooked medium-rare beef with fresh greens - incredibly tender & flavorful. The crispy Brussels sprouts were addictive, like snack food. The rigatoni was rich & satisfying (though not spicy as described).
The cutlet reminded me of a thick, crispy Shanghainese fried pork chop - so good. I also saw someone use hash browns as burger buns with fried chicken… genius idea I'll try next time!
Dessert was a surprise hit - a blueberry cheesecake donut that was juicy & light, not overly sweet. The orange blossom mocktail had a unique Jo Malone-style aroma - floral & refreshing (but wish it came in a bigger glass!).
Friendly service, no rush vibes, way more comfortable than noisy downtown spots. I'll be coming back again & again to try more!Voir plus

J'ai découvert l'établissement, qui, paraît-il est une institution' grâce à des amis. La salle est immense, bruyante quand elle est bien remplie, c'est la rançon de la gloire.
Une dizaine de plats disponibles (tout se tient sur une feuille), mais quels plats! Aucun de nous n'a été déçu !
Mon coup de coeur va pour les petits pains Parker house. En ce qui concerne le tartare de boeuf, y mettre des feuilles d'endives est une excellente idée, l'amertume discrète des feuilles se marie très bien avec le tartare. La portion de salade est généreuse. Il y a aussi des mocktails pour des gens comme moi qui ne boivent pas d'alcool.
On y retourne ? Très certainement, cette fois-ci pour le brunch !Voir plus
