McKibbin's is an institution here in Montreal. I have been coming here for 20 years & have so many fond memories of nights out here. The atmosphere is lively & they often have live music. Even more remarkable is that they are one of the few places in the city that seems to offer happy hour specials. That seems like a rarity in 2024. I generally find the quality of the food to be consistent. They have your standard pub fare & for the most part it is usually satisfying. If you are courageous you can always try their famous Reaper wing challenge but be warned those are some very spicy wings. McKibbin's is a great option if you are looking for a pub in downtown Montreal. You're bound to have a great time while you're there.
Good peeps, good drinks, good live music! I don't need anything else.
Almost too much fun for a Tuesday! I loved the comedy upstairs & downstairs was super fun & lively after too. Loved the staff too.
Very nice staff. Needs an upgrade it is very rustic Food is delicious
I've had a great experience in that Pub, it was genuinely nice to get drinks in there, they have a variety of beers & the food menu has some cool options. Staff are friendly !
The most authentic Irish pub I've ever visited in North America! I sat at the bar & the service was great. It was super quiet when I visited on a Sunday afternoon but quickly picked up the later it got, with a big ghost tour group coming in around 4:30 pm. I stayed for two drinks & wanted to stay for more. Would 100% visit again. OVERVIEW When: Sunday Afternoon, December 2024 Ate: Nothing Drank: x 1 Guinness & x 1 Guinness & cider $$$: $25 with tip Pros: Atmosphere, service, decor Cons: None
Not very good experience. Irish stew was about as good as canned Puritan Irish Stew except with flour. Ordered soup which never arrived. Bread was stale & crusty. Overall the food was pretty bad. It took forever to get drinks, I sat with an empty beer for over 30 mins waiting for another & signaled a few times I was waiting for my next beer. They were moderately busy, but honestly how long does it take to pour a beer?
Défi des ailes assez intenses, pour habitué seulement. Repas délicieux.
Just happened to be walking by around lunch & thought we would step in. I always love a bar that knows how to pour a proper Guinness.
A great bar with tasty bar food & good selection of beers. Very busy, which is always a good sign.
Had some great food & beers here. First visit. TVs all had games on. I will be back for sure.
