McKibbins Irish Pub comes across as a versatile downtown favorite with a lively, welcoming vibe, excellent Guinness and pub fare, and a calendar full of events from sports viewing to standup comedy and live music. The back patio is a highlight and the overall atmosphere blends traditional Irish charm with modern crowds, making it a dependable spot for a casual night out or a night of laughs. The menu offers a satisfying range from wings and nachos to burgers and bison, with consistently friendly service across shifts. Regulars point to Monday and Tuesday comedy nights and upstairs shows as a big draw, while the bar and beer selection keep the energy high on weekends and sports nights. Overall, it presents as a dependable, bustling institution with great drinks, good food, and strong entertainment options that suit a variety of tastes and occasions.
Dynamite food & services. Men's bathroom could use a little work. Like being lit a blaze, fumigated & rebuilt, then patrons hazmat suits upon entry, but otherwise just an awesome Montreal pub. Double down on the Nachos.
It's -13°C/ 8°F outside, one of those days in Montreal where the wind is biting your cheeks & its hard to find something to warm you up. Coming into McKibbins the first thing that hits you is a warm atmosphere with good music(at least towards the end of the evening) that warms your heart. Secondly the food, in my case a wonderful Irish onion soup, warms the body & soul. It's the place to go during the Quebec winter especially, but also when ever you want a good company around you in general.
Tuesday night comedy mic on top floor is hard-working entertainment - well hosted by "joanna". Nice to see neophyte & established comics sharing the stage in a creative & supportive vibe.
A friend & I went there on a monday night during the stand up (comedy) show. It was so much fun! I had the chance to hear a lot of comedians. The host was extremly funning & entertaning. I met a guy from England saying the food & the decoration was authentic - it was like is it back home he told us! I hate the potatoe soup & it was excellent & a grat size for only 6$ I recommand 🤗

A classic student bar, with easy predictable food & drinks. It hasn't changed in decades & that's okay. The food is tasty, the drinks are well priced & the staff is friendly, you can't ask for much more in the are.
The atmosphere in this pub is gorgeous! So comfortable & delicious, the service was excellent & omg! The beer, I know is usually the same but it was temperature perfect, also size & price.
