Last night, my friend & I had an amazing time at MÀTI in Old Montreal.
The crudo & 24-hour braised lamb neck were both extraordinary.
Theodore & Sophia provided exceptional service, making our evening truly special. Highly recommend!

Bon restaurant grec avec une carte limitée (peut-être trop, manque de spécialités variées). Un peu de mal avec l'approche'plats à partager'. C'est bien d'avoir la possibilité de partager quand on vient nombreux mais à deux ça limite grandement les possibilités lorsqu'on veut gouter plusieurs plats. La décoration est soignée & le service attentionné. Je mets 4 étoiles pour les raisons mentionnées précédemment. Pas dans mon top des restaurants grecs à Montréal malheureusement.Voir plus

Wow!!! I really loved everything about Mati! My friend & I recently celebrated our 50th birthday here , & the food, drinks & hospitality were impeccable! The braised lamb neck was so tender & wonderfully flavoured, & the grilled octopus was so delicious that we ate it all before I even thought to take a photo, but it was so good I really wanted to order another. I would have if I wasn't so full! Also, shout out to the green beans, roasted potatoes & tzatziki. They were all delicious as well.
The Prometheus cocktail was an absolute showstopper with the flaming garnish, & the entire cocktail menu was really thoughtful & interesting.
Thank you for a wonderfully memorable evening. We will definitely be returning to Mati & recommending it to all our friends!Voir plus

One of the best dining experience in Old Montreal. Sofia, Felix & Tio are such an amazing team & they deliver incredible service the moment you walk in & leave the restaurant. The music & interior design is very welcoming & sets the tone of a very homey & warmth establishment. The food is on the higher price range but the quality does not disappoint. Braised lamb, trempettes & their house dessert is absolutely phenomenal. A must try! Highly recommend to anyone who loves an authentic greek restaurant with quality plates & service.Voir plus

Meant to go to another restaurant … we ended up at Mati & we weren't disappointed! We ordered the lamb neck, Greek salad, potatoes, & tzatziki, & every dish was delicious. The lamb neck was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had- perfectly tender & melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The seasoning was spot on, & it paired beautifully with the fresh flavors of the potatoes & creamy tzatziki. Furthermore, the service was exceptional. Our waiter was not only professional but also warm & attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect meal. Overall, Mati offers an authentic Greek dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for traditional flavors served with hospitality. I can't wait to return!Voir plus

This is probably one of the best Greek cuisines I've had in a long time. The service was impeccable, the food tasted out of this world, & the ambiance was very inviting. Highly recommend this place when you visit old Montreal. We ordered the grilled octopus, the beet salad, & the Brezina fish. Oh my God, nothing was dry & everything tasted superb.Voir plus

Quel belle découverte. La patronne est très attentionnée. Elle vous suggère les plats & vous explique tout ce que vous voulez savoir. On a même cru qu'elle était grecque . La cuisine est excellente & sans faute. Les plats sont bien servi & copieux. Si je dois trouver un défaut ce sera sur le prix, mais quand c'est excellent on accepte sans souci. The restaurant was very disappointing. If you know Greek cuisine & Greek hospitality, you will unfortunately not find any of that in this restaurant. Firstly, you are greeted by extremely loud music, so that after 15 minutes you feel stressed & overstimulated, you cannot have a normal conversation, you basically have to shout loudly. There is also a strange guy (waiter/menager) who hops from table to table & tries to entertain people "artificially". Almost like a grasshopper. Apart from that, you wait a long time (1 hour) for the food & you don't get anything that can help you pass the time. The main menu was very disappointing, for the high price you get a small portion of meat. You have to order potatoes with it, & salad too. The potatoes were swimming in fat, were not salted & a little burnt. The tea there is called chai, but is served with two tea bags. The waitress forgot to offer the sugar. We were really angry that we chose this restaurant.Voir plus

Excellent dinner last night at Mati in Old Montréal! Small plates, delicious food, well balanced choices. Sophia was our server-she was delightful, knowledgeable & added to the meal! One star held back because we would have loved a window seat to watch the snow fall! We will put it on our list of excellent spots in Old Montréal!Voir plus

Ok let's do Greek… & we walked in. The restaurant is very welcoming, & congratulations your washrooms are super clean, that's important. We sat at the bar & enjoyed a Greek wine, the Kir-Yanni 2022, & it was lovely. The bartender was very skilled & it was nice watching him prepare cocktails. The owner came by & asked if we wanted the lights turned up somewhat as it was quite dim, but nice so we declined. We shared the eggplant with pita, a Greek salad with delicious creamy feta, the pieuvre & lamb chops. All was very satisfactory. A nice find, thank you!Voir plus

We had an amazing at Máti. We had the Greek salad, pastitsio, octopus, calamari & more. Everything was flavourful & authentic-each dish was a real taste of Greece! The portions were perfect for sharing, & the cozy atmosphere is great for groups. The drinks were spot-on, & the service was friendly. Highly recommended!Voir plus
