Heard about this tea house from the media & the lasting impressions of the general public, so decided to give it a go (as a matcha enthusiast myself). I was impressed. Nestor is definitely one who shows his passion, even his stories about his travel & craft have been quite inspiring to say the least. I left a visual review on my insta which he has seen as well. We have been to many cafés & tea houses in Montreal, but this is our all-time favourite teahouse for matcha. Nestor is a master of his craft, & his knowledge of tea truly inspires us to learn more about the art of tea-making.
We especially enjoy the iron matcha & order it on every visit. That said, there are many options to choose from-ranging from traditional serving styles to more refreshing & creative blends.
We always leave feeling recharged & refreshed, & we learn a new fun fact about tea with each visit.View more

On our endless search for the finest matcha, we took a delightful chance on a mysterious, intimate tea room. They quickly exceeded our expectations, showcasing an impressive selection of organic matcha & a variety of enchanting Japanese & Taiwanese teas.
What makes this tea room unique is its dedication to matcha drinks-not the traditional lattes you often come across, but rather thoughtfully crafted beverages that celebrate the rich flavors & qualities of matcha in their purest forms. We were particularly taken with the presentation; our drinks were served in sleek glass bottles to go.
We decided to try the Ironmatcha, infused with the warming essence of cardamom, which created a bold yet comforting flavor profile. The Jasminematcha was equally captivating, as fragrant as it was delicious, highlighting the delicate notes of jasmine.
We were pleasantly surprised by the pumpkin seed milk, which was just incredible. Its earthy, nutty flavor paired harmoniously with our matcha selections.
Additionally, the tea room featured a charming boutique with an array of tea-related items, from exquisite tea sets to premium matcha tools, allowing visitors to take a piece of their experience home.
Interestingly, this place doesn't seem to engage with social media, as we discovered a humorous sign stating'no TikToks' inside! It only added to the authenticity & allure. It's clear that the focus here is on creating a genuine & intimate experience rather than cheap marketing.

Love this cozy little hole-in-the-wall tea salon. The owner is knowledgeable & helps you choose a matcha that's right for you :3 There are only a few tables, but the walls are covered with paintings & bookshelves, & the regulars are friendly. I don't go there that often because it's well out of my way, but 100% worth the trip by public transit. If memory serves there's a Bixi stand close by as well. **** J'adore ce petit salon de thé comfortable! Le propriétaire nous aide à bien sélectionner notre matcha selon nos goûts. Il n'y a que quelques tables, mais les murs sont décorés de tableaux & de bibliothèques. Je n'y vais pas souvent parce que c'est plutôt loin de chez moi, mais ce salon est accessible par transport en commun & il en vaut la peine. The most amazing shop in Montreal! I came here with my girlfriends for my Bachelorette & came across this shop. Nestor is so incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, & the most down to earth person! We got to taste so many teas & had many good laughs. He is also a painter so the shop is decorated with amazing artwork you can buy. I was able to get this masterpiece & am so thankful. Although slightly different from the matcha I am used to, it was a very nice spot to stop in on our walk through Montréal. You can taste the care put into each tea that you are given. Handwritten letters adorn the walls alongside various artwork & tea-making tools, which gives the environment of the shop a very quaint romanticism. My only real complaint was the heat inside the building during the summer, which I found to be a common theme in the city. The owner was very nice, & would even wave to us as we walked by his shop in the following days.View more

Super unique place! The owner offered me to try various teas & drinks he made, & all of them are very delicious & quite unique. I like that all of his drinks are very centralized on the flavor & taste of the tea. If you're someone trying to avoid artificial sweetners & sugar, I strongly suggest this place as I noticed most of the drinks are sweetened with fruits. I also got the Smootcha to-go & am amazed by the deep earthy taste of matcha but none of the bitterness. As a side note, it seems the owner isn't a fan of unprompted photos of himself nor screen usage in his store, so please try to be respectful & minimize usage of it.View more

I've never been to an establishment more deserving of a five star review than this one. My girlfriend & I were just looking for a place to get some warm tea & relief from the cold rain while we killed time before a concert. In doing so we stumbled upon a true gem. For starters the tea was delicious. We started with a cup each of some sesame matcha that the owner had just made followed later by complementary small cups of white tea. As amazing as the tea was, I don't even know if that's the best part. The atmosphere of the tea shop is so inviting & calming. There are indoor plants everywhere & the walls are lined with beautiful paintings. To top all of this off the owner is so sweet & very passionate about tea. You can tell that each pot is made with love. We were only in Montréal for the night to catch a concert, but if I lived in this city there's no doubt I would be here very frequently.View more

I feel like I'm at a tea renegade mastermind's lair, being served familiar teas with different tones of flavours, home brewed white tea from exotic locations. It is a special experience in the city, I had the matcha avocado, traditional matcha & got served white tea in the house & some fresh date & peanut butter snacks for iron since matcha inhibits iron intake.
