Afficher toutbangladeshi(54) recommend(45) chicken(38) authentic(36) roast(30) beef(28) tehari(24) price(22) bengali(22) highly recommend(20) biryani(16) quality(16)This is a great hole-in-the-wall establishment. The food is absolutely delicious & authentic Bangladeshi - you can tell a lot of care goes into making it. The owner Moon is a gem, she even provided us free shemai for Eid. The prices are extremely reasonable. Will definitely return!
Food:
Summary: Tastes like good home cooked meal, nothing close to bangladeshi restaurants or baburchis. Thats not an issue. Main issue it doesnt taste fresh, most items taste like it has been frozen for a long time & reheated when serving. Tried this place twice, & the food tasted stale both times. Price is reasonable based on local market.
Tehari: (4/5) tastes close to authentic tehari in Bangladesh. But the meat pieces were tough & felt like it was prepared long ago & re-heated. Not like it wasnt cooked properly, it was as if the meat became stale & tough by the process of freezing & reheating. But rating 4 out 5 still since taste was close to home.
Kachhi: (1/5) The meat was definitely old, stale, & reheated. The meat was tough & looked stale as well. It it did not taste a day or two old stale, it tasted like it was at least a week old. Rating 1 only because the rice had some hint of fragrance of authentic kachhi, but it is still far off. Plan to get a roast or something to have with it because the biriyani meat is almost inedible.
Roast Polao: 5/5. Tastes like home but the polao is extremely greasy.
Service: Service is very slow. Except for the owner, nobody else knows how to greet customers. But thats fine for a small authentic restaurant such as this.
Amosphere: Mostly a takeaway. Didnt feel like a place where I would plan to sit & enjoy.
Very good & authentic Bangladeshi food I tried ever in Canada 😋 the price & food will not disappoint you! Go with friends & family for taste their food……!
Recommend for those who looking low budget food in Montreal…..!
The manager Rubel bhai is very kind person he always take care his customer so nicely!
They have amazing items, a proper Bangladeshi restaurant, tasty food, great price. Chicken roast Polao is a great option
You must go here! We had the Beef Tehari, Chicken Curry & Rui Fish with Milk Tea. Every dish was amazing. The service is so thoughtful, they even gave us a free portion of a lamb dish & dessert on the house after having prepared a catering order. The prices are more than reasonable, we were stuffed full for under $40.
I was very disappointed with this meal. The rice tasted old & had almost no flavor. The meat pieces were mostly bones & fat, not real meat. The dish looked messy & didn't feel fresh at all. Even the vegetables & lime didn't seem clean or properly prepared. For the price, this was not worth it. I do not recommend this place based on my experience🙏🏻
Delicious food & you can't get more fresh & very reasonable prices the owners one of the most beautiful families I have ever met in Montreal Quebec Canada. 👋😂
Great food & great portion. Owners are very cordial & hospitable. Very reasonably priced.
food is delicious & price are cheaper.Service is good & quickly. sweets are tasty.
I had kacchi (biriyani) from them on Uber eats & I loved it & I feel compelled to write a review.
After moving to Montreal I have been desperately looking for kacchi as it was one of my favorite dishes back home, & when I ordered I didn't have a lot expectations.
But the kacchi was really really good, & more importantly it pretty much matched the type of kacchi you would get in Bangladeshi biriyani places. I really liked the biriyani, taste & texture; I was pleasantly surprised.
The biriyani was a little greasy, biriyani is supposed to be a heavy food so it was fine with me. For the price I would prefer more mutton, I think it would be better if they substituted one of the kebabs with mutton. I found the kebabs to be just okay.
The food is delicious & reasonably priced, offering exceptional value for the quality. Additionally, the service is outstanding, with attentive staff who go above & beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
Very underrated tasty Bangladeshi food. Authentic & owner was really helpful with everything. Price is very reasonable.
Food was super delicious, price was good & the owner was amicable, she was friendly & knowledgeable.
Had a great meal here-everything tasted fresh & felt like real home cooking. The beef curry was rich & tender, & the paratha was flaky & hot. Staff were warm without hovering, & the place felt welcoming. Portions were generous, & prices were fair for the quality. I'd definitely come back when I'm craving Bangla food again.
dined in here with some friends . The food was very delicious & at a very reasonable price range.
If anyone looking for some bengali food in montreal
this would be
a good choice for you
Food is good
Service ok, they try!
Environment: needs upgrade!
BIGGEST PROBLEM: MENU PRICE & THE PRICE THEY CHARGE NEVER SAME!
It was our first time in Montreal, & we were looking for a place to eat late at night around 11:00 PM. After struggling to find anything open, we finally came across this gem-& to our surprise, it's open 24 hours! The prices were incredibly cheap, so we ended up ordering a lot of food. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We're so glad we found this place-definitely a must-visit if you're in Montreal, especially late at night!
Amazing taste. Unbelievable. Better than Lebanese & Indian. Authentic/traditional Bangladesh Food!!
Prices are too good to be true. Full stomach at 10cad + tax!
Prices lower according to market price. Rise & sink accordingly.
Amazing quality of people.
& to top it all off, open 24 hours!!
We had sehri at Marche Moon Star a couple of night ago. 3 of us got the sehri platter (we chose chicken curry, shorshe ilish & beef bot as the proteins, alongside rice, daal, 2 types of bhorta, mixed vegetable & salad) & 1 of us got roast polao dish. The food was super tasty & fresh. We even got complimentary fruit & desserts from the owner & discounted price for the meal. The service is amazing as well. They are open 24/7 for the whole month of Ramadan. Highly recommended!!
