I was really surprised how horrible the food was. I've always preferred this particular Marathons to others that are closer to me. I haven't been there in a few years & was very disappointed. I ordered medium lamb chops & had to send them back as they were soooonl fatty, there were NO grill marks which told me that the heat wasn't high enough & the server told me that it would have been better to order them well done so that the fat would have melted🙄really🤣 Also, the fries were hard & greasy but by this time I was so disgusted that I didn't complain & just told myself that I wouldn't go back.View more

Hello Well my family & I have been coming here for over 15 years & always loved the food. Today it is a different story I had ordered online & when I got to the restaurant they said no internet so had to show them my phone order. We ordered gyro plate with salad...got home & we started to eat. The gyro was so tasteless, dry & hard to chew.......rice was not up to the taste we are used to & salad was soggy. Then the bread that came with meal was so hard you could not bite into it. I was shocked to the point we threw most of it out .....it is not the Marathon we have known..........well they have lost my family from ever going back to Marathon again. This is the best Greek restaurant ever! I cannot express enough the quality of food, the amazing service of everybody coming to our table bringning service joy & laughter! Besides that we were stunned & delighted to discover a good samaritan at the table next to us with 3 amazing daughters..what an exceptional father taking so well care of his daughters! Well this man gracefully paid all of our meals! They told us it was paid forward!😀😀😀😀 what a blessing! We all said yur joking but no they said were not joking!View more

The food is very good & the portions are great. The reason I give 2 stars is because of the service. The waitress displayed a dismissive attitude & she didn't ask us if we wanted garlic bread & we come especially to Marathon for their garlic bread. Even after we asked for it, it was never brought to our table. After serving our food, she never returned to check on us. While the food was amazing, the poor service overshadowed it.View more
