I have been to a few locations of Marathon Souvlaki, & this is where we found the best Greek food experience in the West Island.
Take out or dine in, service & quality go hand in hand for you.
The portions are generous for a reasonable price.

After we payed we were told to leave promptly.
We had my wife's 40th birthday party here because she loves greek food. The food is good & our server Angelo was very nice, I would give him 5 stars. Now why the low rating?
After dinner we had the birthday cake & shortly after we all paid our bill, the server came up to us & said that his superior (I don't know if it was the manager or owner) had told him to tell us that we had to leave because they had another group coming in. First & foremost, the manager should have came directly to me to say this personally, not have his server take this upon his shoulders, this is a severe lacks of professionalism & respects for his employee & guests. My server felt extremely embarassed & ashamed for being told to ask us to leave, especially after sharing a slice of birthday cake with us. He was amazed by the cake so I offered him a slice which he ate speedily because he is working & does not want to disrespect his other guests but it was nice for him to join us even if it was brief. This restaurant is very busy because the food is good & the price is fair for the portions you get BUT if you can't handle a reservation for a medium sized group like this then don't take the reservation. I don't want to say it ruined my wife's 40th birthday party but it ended on a bad note. This restaurant should have been honest enough to say on the phone they don't want us staying long because this is the sort of place that wants you to eat & then get out. Had I known this, I would have made reservations elsewhere.
I am a long time customer of Marathons because they have a few locations. Highly doubtful I would ever step foot into this particular location again & I definitely don't recommend doing & event here.
The food is good but this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth.View more

Honestly I have been going there since the age of 12 & now I am 47. First time I'm highly disappointed. They change their garlic bread to a PITA bread ..that's a very bad move. You can't change the legend food. I'm pretty sure people loved their garlic bread & most of them use to go there to eat that b4 having their meal. First off all they change the size of the bread & now they completely replaced with PITA . I really didn't appreciate this at all. You have raised your price drastically & cut down on my favorite part of Marathon Souvlaki food. Really not impressed at all. I don't think I ll ever go back to eat there untill bread is back . When I told this to waiter . He really didn't care about my suggestion & my dissatisfaction. He goes to me you only come here to eat BREAD . **im like what kind of question is that ** He also told me that this bread is DISCONTINUED. Do you want me to laugh on this BIG LIE. I just couldn't believe it ... Than he told me oh everything is getting so expensive so we had to change it. Than i told him how PAPPOU SOUVLAKI is serving the same bread . Fantastic chicken plate with rice, choice of marathon or Greek salad & fries. Went there for lunch with my husband & two teenage boys. The lunch menu includes a drink as well. Went here for lunch, well worth it. These are huge portions for the price - I got the chicken pita with a salad, some potatoes & rice (you can request for half/half). All of the Greek flavors seem to explode in your mouth once you dive in. Waiter was polite too.View more
