Honestly I have been going there since the age of 12 & now I am 47. First time I'm highly disappointed. They change their garlic bread to a PITA bread ..that's a very bad move. You can't change the legend food. I'm pretty sure people loved their garlic bread & most of them use to go there to eat that b4 having their meal. First off all they change the size of the bread & now they completely replaced with PITA . I really didn't appreciate this at all. You have raised your price drastically & cut down on my favorite part of Marathon Souvlaki food. Really not impressed at all. I don't think I ll ever go back to eat there untill bread is back . When I told this to waiter . He really didn't care about my suggestion & my dissatisfaction. He goes to me you only come here to eat BREAD . **im like what kind of question is that ** He also told me that this bread is DISCONTINUED. Do you want me to laugh on this BIG LIE. I just couldn't believe it ... Than he told me oh everything is getting so expensive so we had to change it. Than i told him how PAPPOU SOUVLAKI is serving the same bread . Usually very good & consistent. Now they changed the bread from thick garlic toast to pita & the iconic salad dressing is no longer the same. That's like when Coke changed their recipe. It ruined a great thing. & on this occasion we arrived to pick up our order but they had forgotten one plate so we had to wait & since the rest was ready, everything was cold. The salad dressing change is really the biggest disappointment.View more

I've eaten here since they opened, back around'94-95. I just realized, I've eaten here for 30 years... over half my life! Always delicious, fresh & consistently good food, always generous portions, not expensive & the decor is nice & family friendly. I can't get enough of the doner meat & calamari. Now that I'm older & can't actually finish an entire platter on my own, I order a two-pita platter & that's plenty for two of us to eat til we're full & there's still salad & potatoes left. Grew up in Montreal & live in Calgary now, but am here for my yearly pilgrimage. Was introduced to Marathon 20 some years ago & always eat there at least once on my return to town. The food is awesome & the portions huge!!!! Ate there tonight with my sister. She had a souvlaki pita , I had the gyro plate...far from disappointed!!!!!! It was great!!!!! Our waiter Martin was also awesome, very friendly, talkative & efficient. Thank you sir. This is one of the best restaurants in Montreal & possible the whole country!!! A must visit!!! Thank you for an unbelievable meal & experience. You guys knock it outta the park every time!!!!! Cant believe there is one bad review.......some people are just complainers.....View more

Went here for lunch, well worth it. These are huge portions for the price - I got the chicken pita with a salad, some potatoes & rice (you can request for half/half). All of the Greek flavors seem to explode in your mouth once you dive in. Waiter was polite too.View more

Food & service was top notch! We tried out several items such as Lamb Chops, chicken brochette, Greek Salad, fried cheese, Calamari, chicken souvlaki in pita & we ordered the pitcher for the coke. All items tasted great! Food was served on time. Our server was very good too! Definitely recommend!View more
