Where to begin…
For her good service, her patience & the advice she provided us, our waitress deserves a pay raise. She was sweet & efficient. Congrats on hiring good workers!
The food is what brings the score down. The meat was chewy & slightly burned. There was wayyyy too much tzatziki on the pitas, although the tzatziki was very tasty(coming from a sauce girl like me, this means something). The fries had no taste at all. The Greek salad was essentially tomatoes with oil, a couple of cucumbers & two olives. The fish dip… run. But I'm not a fish fan, so don't take my word for it.
The portions are very generous, which compensate slightly for the prices & the quality.
Overall alright experience, although very mid. I probably won't come here again. Props on parking though! It's nice to have easy parking spaces in Montreal.
Warmest regards.View more
Solid Greek flavors with room to grow - Souvlaki delivers a satisfying experience.
I enjoyed the meal overall - the grilled meats were flavorful & well-cooked, especially the chicken souvlaki. The tzatziki was fresh & tangy, & the portions were generous. Service was courteous, though a bit slow during peak hours. The atmosphere is casual & welcoming, but the interior could use a bit of refreshing.
A good spot for a relaxed Greek meal, & with a few small improvements, it could be great.View more
Update: in 2025 the food quality is not like it used to be back in 2020 or before. I don't know what happened to this place but I don't think I will go back here again. So sad 😞
2020: My go-to Greek restaurant. Reasonable prices for decent meals. Service is fine & professional. During busy hours, the customers talk loudly over lunch so adjust your expectations during busy hours. Other than that, this is a great place for Greek food.View more
Marathon's has been around for a very long time. Deservedly so, as they have kept they food quality & great taste along with generous portions. My personal favorite is their loose meat pork gyro plate, with half & half fries & crispy golden potatoes. It comes with delicious rice & their marathon salad topped with their famous dressing. Mix the salad with some of the meat for a delicious treat. The service is friendly & I'm surprised every time how fast their dishes come out. Marathon's is true staple of Greek food in Montreal. You can't go wrong.View more
Wow the quality of this restaurant went downhill, quantities of food are bad for the price, at least for takeout. The receptionist misunderstood dressing on the side with'give me an extra dressing & charge me 3$ for it'
50 bucks for a gyro pita + a chicken plate with 2 chicken sticks + marathon salad. If my wife had seen the quantity of food & the poor quality of what they called a salad, she would have never gave a 5$ tip for takeout.
I do not recommend , at least for takeout. Go buy yourself some greek food litterally anywhere else & you will be more satisfied. Felt like we were just scammed 20$ for the amount of food.View more
Fantastic food & great service ! If you want to experience Greek food & wine , this is the place.View more
the chicken pita souvlaki platter with the greek salad I had, was very good.View more
The staff is always kind & welcoming & the food is always excellent! Favourite spot to eat Greek food:)View more
Clean establishment with a variety of choices for any appetite. Ordered chicken gyros small & large sizes within our party, enough for leftovers for later. Nice service & prices were reasonable. Wish the Greek salad had a better balance of cucumbers instead of a high percentage of tomatoes. Seemed odd to us for a Greek salad, it was more of a tomato salad. This is a return visit, dined here a couple of years ago.View more
Good food & veeery large portions. Special highlight to the greek tzatziki sausage & calamari...,.very tasty! Staff has always been very attentive without being disruptive. It has enough parking space in front of the restaurant & it's even close to the metro. With all that, you can expect a bit of a more pricey ticket around $60/person.View more
The fried calamari plate comed marathon salad & fries, is on the menu for $26.25. If you are looking for a delicious & affordable Greek meal, Marathon Souvlaki is definitely worth considering.View more
I am not Greek but if there was a background people most assume I am, it's Greek. I've never been to Greece but my love for the cuisine is enough to be incredibly flattered when people think I am from the country. Marathon Souvlaki makes some truly great food. Pictured here is a souvlaki chicken pita & my tired & true beverage - ice cold ginger ale. The pair were a match made in heaven much like the people of Greece & their impeccable culinary offeringsView more
Tasty Greek fare, reasonably priced & staff determined to pleaseView more
I'm actually apologize. I was too hungry to take a photo, but it was soooo good. The ingredients are fresh & the recipes are both classic & delicious. If you are already a fan of Greek food then you'll love it. If you want to explore Greek food, you'll still love it.View more

I had an unexpected extra night in Montreal due to a canceled flight. I ended up at Marathon & was immediately encouraged by how busy it was. I enjoyed the food & found the service excellent, even though they seemed to be rushing around to take care of everyone. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for simple Greek food in the Montreal style. Nothing fancy, but good.View more
The food was delicious , generous portions & the waiter Jhon made us laugh alot . 5 star service . I was not impressed with my Greek salad . I had about 20 big slices of tomatoes, two tiny peices of cucumber , white onion instead of red , ONE olive , couple of red & yellow pepper slice & feta . I know their are many ways to make a Greek salad but the tomatoes to cucumber ratio was waaayyyy off . It was more like a tomatoes salad . My sister's meat was ice cold , hard & dry but they replaced it for her & then she enjoyed it .View more
Neither great nor bad. It's a good option if you're around & feeling like eating greek food, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.View more
The food is so good.. it's a Greek restaurant but it's also an international cuisine as well...View more
My new favourite Greek restaurant in MTL!! Portions are generous, & service was friendly, professional, & fast. Alex was fantastic! Tried the following: - calamari - big pieces :) You can taste some eggs from the batter, but overall it was tasty, & the seafood sauce wasn't overpowering - gyro - shaved pork pieces were juicy & flavourful - chicken skewer- juicy & tasty The rice was delicious, the salad was crisp & the dressing was tasty, & the fries were crispy & moist on the inside. I love the fact that as a side dish you have the option of getting all 3 items (fries, rice, & salad). So you can try all 3 without paying extra charge. The only reason they didn't get the 5th star was because they didn't have the fillet mignon available, & that's what we really wanted to eat. Also the platter doesn't come with Tzatziki sauce. Other than that it's an amazing place with reasonable prices. Definitely will come back.View more
