Two young Armenian-Canadian entrepreneurs Levon Keyork and Nareg Meterissian decide to embark in the journey of opening an Armenian bistro: Manti.
“Manti” is an Armenian national dish composed of mini dumplings sizzling in a rich stock with a garlic-yogourt sauce, the whole garnished with sumac and mint.
At Manti we serve Armenian & Mediterranean classics served with a twist and a whole lot of cultural pride.
Reviews consistently praise Manti for authentic Armenian flavors, fresh ingredients, and dishes that feel generous in variety and presentation. The manti themselves are frequently described as delicious and well seasoned, with other standout items including fattoush, kebabs, and knafeh French toast. Service is described as fast, friendly, and attentive in many visits, though a few reviews note slow or inconsistent service and some errors with orders. The atmosphere is praised as cozy, warm, and stylish, with modern decor and a welcoming vibe, though some gatherings and loud music or balloon setups have at times affected the dining experience. Price and portion size receive mixed comments, with many saying prices are reasonable for the quality, while others feel portions are small or prices high in some cases. Several reviews highlight catering and events and describe Manti as a reliable choice for celebrations. Brunch is repeatedly singled out as a highlight with items like foul medames, fatteh kawarma, eggs with soujouk, and the knafeh French toast stealing the show. Overall, diners are impressed by the flavor, authenticity, and care in preparation, with many planning to return and bring friends.
Most incredibly tasty food I've ever had. & the waiters are so nice & responsive. It's always a wonderful time to go there & enjoy the atmosphere & the food. I usually go with a group of 2-4 people & we enjoy shared platter & fattoush salad which is insanely good & of course the Kunaffa which for me is the most delicious kunaffa in the world 🥲
It is very rare that a restaurant has this kind of effect on me.
For context - I'm from Toronto, I split my time between Toronto & Montreal, & I'm Lebanese/Armenian. My family has been cooking everything from scratch for generations. Because of that, I'm extremely hard to impress when it comes to Lebanese or Armenian food. I almost never prefer restaurant versions over home cooking.
This place? Absolutely phenomenal.
First, the environment. Clean, minimalist, not pretentious, but thoughtfully designed. It's not'high-end' in a flashy way - it's just done right. The service was exceptional. The two servers were attentive without being overbearing. They picked up on details. That level of care genuinely surprised me.
Now the food.
The fattoush was one of the best I've ever had outside of home. Crisp lettuce, super fresh vegetables, perfectly fried pita, & beautiful contrast with pomegranate. I was honestly shocked at how much I loved it.
We ordered kibbeh nayeh (raw kibbeh), which I usually never order outside because we make it fresh at home. It wasn't my mother's - but it was really, really good. That says a lot.
The hummus with kawarma (stewed meat on top) was phenomenal. Paired with the fattoush, it was unreal. I don't think I've ever fallen in love with hummus & meat like that before.
Batata harra - fried spiced potatoes with toum - amazing. My only note is I wish it had a little more heat, but the flavour was excellent.
The manti (beef dumplings with garlic yogurt, dried mint, sumac, & pepper) were some of the best I've had - & I've had them at very traditional spots. Exceptional.
My only wish is for the pita bread to be served warm.
& dessert.
Kanafeh pain perdu. Perfect portion. Crispy, sweet, balanced. The cheese was absolute perfection. 10 out of 10. Truly.
I haven't asked to speak to an owner to compliment them in over 10 years. I did here. The owner looked young - & he should be incredibly proud. With rising costs & declining quality in so many restaurants lately, this place delivered on everything: service, cleanliness, creativity, flavour, execution.
This was an exceptional meal. Truly a 11/10 experience.
The photos & videos honestly don't do it justice. I'll be back - & next time, I'm bringing more people.

Every Saturday I have a standing lunch appointment. Each week we go to a different restaurant. We visited Manti on the last Saturday of 2025 & regretted not having come here sooner.
Over the years I've visited a number of Syrian restaurants. I've enjoyed Damas when they were on park Avenue, & Alep while managed by the previous generation. Regrettably, both institutions no longer shine as bright as they used to. Just when I thought that was the end of decent Syrian food in Montreal, I discovered Manti.
Everything we ordered from the starters to the fattoush, to the grilled kabobs we had for lunch was spot on. I cannot flaw anything part of the experience of dining at Manti.
Manti was the best saturday lunch of 2025, & will definitely stay on my roster of regular places to dine.
Manti is a delight! Trust me when I say this : every single item on the menu is incredibly flavourful & delicious.
From their brunch menu, my personal favourites are the foul medames, fatteh kawarma, eggs with soujouk & zaatar kaek. The knafa French toast is a MUST.
From their regular menu, I recommend the beef manti, fattoush salad, cheese borek, shrimp kataifi, beef manti & grilled meat sharing platter.
Inarguably one of the best places to eat in Laval!
We ordered a few mezza plates - fattouch, falafel & manti. Manti were dry (not fresh) but reheated with lots of yogurt & dried herbs. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working so we were most uncomfortable with a sun-warmed room without circulation. Was ok. Hoped it would be better.
Absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm & inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly & attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. The food was outstanding - fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. We tried several dishes, & each one was a delightful surprise. The fattoush salad was a highlight! Prices were reasonable for the quality & service provided. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. We'll definitely be coming back!
My new favourite Armenian/middle eastern restaurant! I tend to be pretty picky with this type of cuisine because i'm middle eastern myself, but Manti is top notch! I've been 3 times already & it consistently delivered delicious fresh food & amazing service (shoutout to Jenny!) They make the best fattoush i've ever had at a restaurant, & just their overall quality in each plate is excellent. Their manti plate is pretty great & it's their specialty, but my favourites are the kebe naye (raw meat), fattoush, hummus kawarma (unbelievable), & their shish taouk sandwich. Also do NOT skip dessert because their baklava ice cream is to die for. I cant recommend this restaurant enough & I will be trying their brunch menu for sure!

Beautiful restaurant with amazing armenian food. Went for the first time yesterday with a couple of friends & was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Fattoush salad, the deluxe rack of lamb platter, the fried halloumi plate & the fried shrimps. Every single dish exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended restaurant & would definitely go back!
I recently had lunch here & enjoyed the food & service. The restaurant was beautifully decorated & the waiters were phenomenal. The owner was also very kind. As someone who doesn't eat meat, I highly recommend that you order the lemonade, fattoush salad, mushroom manti, falafels & leave room for the ponchik donuts. Everything was a 10/10. I look forward to going back.
First time I've been there since they expanded, but no change in the quality of the food or the excellent service. Party of seven on a Thursday night, not too busy but still very lively. We had a mix of manti, fried halloumi, borek, filet mignon, & of course fattoush, plus desserts; all were tasty with generous portions. Some found things a bit spicy compared to our last visit, but all loved it. Service was impeccable, staff were very friendly & attentive.

We had lunch at Manti. We tried the grilled shish taouk/filet mignon which was perfectly cooked, & fattoush & mezzes all excellent. We didn't enjoy the manti as much. It was good but I would order something next time. Service was great. Would definitely recommend a visit!
One of my favorite restaurants in montreal , was never dissapointed , usually take fattoush salad , batata Harra & hummus Soujok as starters , for the main dish i take the shish taouk & kebab , very tasty & the chicken is super tender .& their knafe dessert is super delicous . great place & highly recommend.
After proclaiming our love of Damas to our server at Bloomfield last month, she highly recommended that we try Manti in Laval as the chef used to work there (& it was fresh & delicious & more casual/afforable ... as Damas has gone up in price by literally 115% from when we first started going about 8 years ago!). Although our hopes were high, Manti lived up to them (or, maybe even surpassed in some areas). It was in a strip mall, but had an open, airy, modern, clean-line atmosphere with an exposed kitchen to watch the chefs that made you (almost) feel like you weren't in the burbs. The staff were friendly & efficient. Pretty plates of food were brought to us with wonderful, balanced flavours & enjoyable textures! They brought out the hummus (light & whipped to almost fluffy), pita (funny how I preferred the pieces with grill marks & Mitch preferred the soft pieces), fattoush (as good as Damas,' &, I understand this chef created this one for them)...crunchy squares of toasted pita, sweet bursts of pomegranate seeds, & fresh mint are the highlights of this flavorful traditional salad... the kebbe naye (bulgar beef tartare) was a big hit with us! The texture a rich, silky, fine cut that was molded & served in slices with fine strips of raw onion on top. The quality of the olive oil on top & the freshness of the beef, along with the skill to make this were appreciated by us. We had the crispy fried shrimp served over an apricot habanero sauce that was a nice sweet-spicy balance along with an audible crunch. The only negative we had was, surprising enough, their signature dish, the Manti. They offer two varieties: beef & mushroom. We opted for the former (which was familiar to me in the larger version, mantu). Although the sauce flavours were perfect along with the yogurt & spices (& we agreed would be delicious with grilled lamb or even chicken), we found the dumpling much thicker than we like & the texture to be almost crunchy verses the expected (& desired) steamed al dente I've experienced in Afghani restaurants. Regardless, we had a wonderful experience at Laval's Manti, & are excited that we have a new go-to for casual, delicious, Middle Eastern.
The best place for brunch in Laval. One of the best caterers too. Everything is deliciously good with these guys, but make sure try their take on the traditional Armenian manti. Their fattouche salad is also to die for!

Not impressed. Only thing that was different & tasty was the salad but not ´fattoush', filet mignon too salty & overcooked so was the kebbes. Side dishes nothing wow. Worse food I had, overpriced. Not inviting staff. They told me order would be ready in 20 mins I got there waited 30 minutes more & not a single apology. Won't go back.
