Prosciutto Sandwich was Ok, & basic & nothing memorable. Given the quality & portion, $16 seems high; I expected more flavor or a bit more craftsmanship for that price.
Service could be more organized, they're not using the ticket numbers to serve but instead calling the sandwich name so you don't know if i'is yours or if someone else ordered the same before you..it happened to me...wasn't pleasant to be harshly told by another customer: It is not yours!

Cute cafe shop. I got the ice latte & cafe tonic. Turns out the coffee with tonic is really amazing. Love it. The staff is very kind, caring & friendly. Will definitely come back again.

Il s'est écoulé près d'une heure & demie depuis que je me suis installé sur la chaise du patio, les doigts engourdis par le froid, pendant que le soleil déclinant venait taquiner mes lunettes. J'observais la même ligne clignotante sur le vide intergalactique d'une page Word blanche, prélude d'une critique du Mano Figa. Comme à mon habitude, j'avais d'abord prévu une descente introspective, espérant plonger dans les méandres de mes pensées pour comprendre pourquoi, le dimanche - ma seule journée de congé - je me retrouve souvent à la fois atone & apathique. J'avais disposé mes affaires à l'extérieur, me disant que le frais printanier & les lueurs du couchant pourraient agir comme muses.
Hélas, au lieu de trouver des réponses cachées dans mon esprit ou portées par l'air du soir, je n'ai fait que geler mes extrémités & m'enliser sous une pile toujours grandissante de questions irrésolues. En somme, je me suis égaré dans mon propre labyrinthe cérébral - c'est parfois angoissant, trop réfléchir !
Alors, je déclare : trêve d'égarements pour aujourd'hui. Adieu Profondeur Métaphysique ! Premier Degré, viens dans mes bras ! Au moins, toi, tu ne me casses pas la tête.
(Accordez-moi deux secondes pour rassembler mes affaires - il faut bien que je rentre, j'ai des glaçons à la place des doigts !)
Passons alors à ce qui, selon moi, constitue l'argument de poids du restaurant : ses sandwichs. Jamais, me semble-t-il, n'ai-je goûté de schiacciate aussi exquises. Le pain, préparé sur place, offre cette texture paradoxale à la fois croustillante en surface & incroyablement moelleuse à l'intérieur. Les viandes, découpées à la minute, délivrent toute leur fraîcheur & leurs arômes rehaussés d'un assaisonnement parfaitement maîtrisé - un mariage idéal avec le sucré du miel aux truffes de la « classico » (14 $) & l'acidulé des aubergines marinées de la « prosciutto » (14 $) !
& que dire de cette divine pizza foccacia gratinée à la béchamel & aux pommes de terre (6 $) ? Quel merveilleux ménage ! J'ignore si elle figure sur le menu habituel, mais elle est à ne surtout pas manquer.
Ma plus grande frustration fut de voir mon amie K. boire presque tout le délicieux & chaleureux chocolat chaud après avoir ruiné (noyé) son macchiato avec de l'eau. Bravo, l'artiste !
Tiens, parlant d'art… sachez qu'à certaines heures de la journée, une scène théâtrale tout à fait bestiale se dessine dans ce lieu atypique aux allures de vieux café italien : un spectacle de lutte de petits chiens du quartier à la sauce WWF. Qui pourra ravir la ceinture de champion à Maître Kanichou ? À suivre.
D'ailleurs, les sièges vous permettant d'assister confortablement au spectacle sont très limités : on en compte une dizaine, tout au plus, répartie le long des endroits passants. Ajoutez à cela des clients enjoués & une musique survoltée, l'ambiance est à l'excitation & peu propice à la conversation, ce qui a peut-être précipité le désir de K., ensommeillée, de renfiler son manteau & ramasser son sac.
Dans tous les cas, nous avons bénéficié d'un agréable accueil & d'un service personnalisé. La bonne humeur du personnel est palpable & contagieuse. Elle se comprend parfaitement, quand on sait que notre cuisine produit de merveilles pareilles, il y a de quoi être fier.
J'y retournerai donc sans hésiter pour me délecter de leurs autres sandwichs & pour voir si Maître Kanichou conservera son titre de champion des poids légers de Griffintown.View more

These are the best sandwiches in MTL! They are STUFFED with ham or whatever you order it with, the sauces are amazing! Coffee is decent, but it goes well with the sandwich.
I recommend going in around 11 specially in a sunny day, you can enjoy the sandwich out in the griffintown park.View more

An absolute MUST stop if in Griffintown. Grab a coffee, Italian sandwich or dessert to go. If you have the time, eat-in next door at the restaurant. Bucket list to try all 6x sandwich variants. So far the Classico is my favourite with the sweet honey truffle spread = divine. Parking is tough, but some along the street if the Yoga/Gym-goers haven't claimed.View more

The place unfortunately has an identity crisis. It looks like a cute Italian espresso bar on the outside then you walk in & there's a huge TV playing NBA games & the music is blasting 21 savage! If you know 21 savage you know the type of music. I went there in the morning around 9am to send a few emails while having coffee but I couldn't hear myself think of how loud the rap music was. I was also planning on getting their focaccia sandwich but I couldn't spend an extra second anymore so I just picked up my stuff & left. Definitely do not recommend the place to go sit there neither alone nor with someone. Maybe good only to pick up coffee or something to eat then leave.View more

I don't want to knock this place too hard because the sandwiches are fantastic, but the wait is just too long. They really need another guy just on cold cuts duty instead of having one guy trying to do both cutting & assembling & bagging, & just not able keeping up. He's trying his best to batch them up, doing 5-6 at a time, but it's just not moving. Wether it's a week day lunch or a weekend, it's not unusual to wait up to 20 if not 30 mins for a sandwich. They're honestly great, & I keep coming back despite the wait, but for the sake of this place they should improve their workflow. I would spend more per sandwich or come more often if the sandwiches took 5 mins instead of 20.View more

It's a good sandwich but fyi it's basically drenched in oil. I ordered two different types & both were soaked in very oily sauce I think that's why it tastes so good. Yummy but you might want to avoid if you're on a diet.View more

The sandwich is easily the best (& most fresh) that I've ever had - I went for the prosciutto but the others look great too.
However the portion was quite disappointing, I got half the sandwich I was expecting for the price... Not a very cost-effective experience but it was worth a try for once. I would not go back on an empty stomach.
The coffee was great, the service was quick, & the atmosphere was okay, definitely has the Italian cafe "look".View more
