Manigances was an unexpected find. It has a great selection of craft beers brewed on site. Of course there are IPAs but there are also spicy, fruity wheat beers, some woody, malty ambers & robust stouts. I had a flight of four beers & they were all great.
The menu emphasizes local foods, featuring Oka cheese in several dishes, with fresh bread & dough from the PATOka bakery, & desserts from local patisserie FAYS. We shared the Brussel sprouts which were cooked to perfection with balsamic vinegar & maple syrup providing pleasant, sweet & sour notes. The Manigances pizza had a thin but chewy crust with a slightly spicy tomato sauce that complemented the goat cheese, prosciutto & arugula.
The menu is more gourmet Bistro than brew pub. We were impressed at the thought & creativity that has gone into it. We'll definitely be back.
Service was decent but the food was subpar by local microbrasserie standards & the beer was just average & both were overpriced. Not impressed & not sure why all the high ratings.
