I'm originally from Vancouver & the salad bars are amazing there. Having said that, there aren't many options in Old Port & I've given this Mandy's location four chances now & each time it's so disappointing. Today was the last straw. Please have a look at my photo…I'm sorry but if I wanted to eat whole pieces of lettuce like a rabbit, I could've just gone to the grocery store & bought a head myself. Not only was it unappetizing, I picked out 5-6 whole pieces of lettuce, the tortilla chips were whole size chips that I had to use my hands to eat & I paid almost $30 with tip for this atrocious thing. Am I crazy for thinking this is disgusting?! Mandy's needs to pay a visit to Vancouver or LA & see what a good salad looks like. Never again.View more

I loved this place. I had a salad here on my first day in the city, then came back every day until I left. Actually, in the last days, I changed the unit because I was embarrassed. But they're all equally great. The reason for my addiction was the Wild Sage Bowl with the mushroom soup. Top 3 best salads I ever had in the world.View more

We were on a driving trip to Quebec City & stopped in Montreal for half day to see the historical sites. For lunch we went to several places we researched from home & easily picked Mandy's . Everything was great. Good service, good food & interesting atmosphere. Inside & outside seating but inside definitely better. Pretty crowded today but tables turn over quickly as many customers seemed to be locals. A real fun place. Highly recommended.View more

The summer salad at 22 dollars had to be ordered & pre paid indoor at the cash & then I walked out with a table tag & half an hour later the salad was served . The white wine was priced at $35 a bottle . It was a warm day but we were lucky to flag a waiter who brought water . Nobody asked if we wanted an ice bucket Nobody poured our wine . Why did I prepay the tip? I guess the restaurant serves locals . Because Ina regular restaurant the waitress takes the order gets the wine gets the ice bucket gets the water & double checks that everything is ok . I was told later that there are salad recipes with more protein . Ok. Next time I will take the salad with some tofu. The indoor diningroom is nice. Next time I will eat indoors. Sure, you may be paying a premium price. But for the quality of ingredients & portion, the service, & atmosphere, it is definitely worth it. Mandy's is not necessarily an'on-the-go' spot, it's an experience. I hadn't been here in a while & used to be iffy about the service in certain locations. However, the service was perfect this time.
