Afficher toutpasta(12) pizza(12) italian(7) vibe(4) family(4) highly recommend(3) recommend(3) cheese(3) sauce(3) salad(3) quality(3) wine(3)Very happy to have a nice local pizza place nearby, this is always a must for me. On our first visit, we ordered pizzas to go. The pizza was larger than I had thought, so we had plenty of leftovers for the next day & it was just as good the day after. The pizza is also not very greasy either, I would say that the pepperoni one was ok, but the better choices are the ones with more toppings, the all dressed & super special were very good. On our second visit we had the pasta, & that was excellent. I had the Cannelloni Fiorentina & loved it. The cheese, freshly made pasta & other ingredients were delicious & the serving size was perfect. A great take out option when you have a group over or just to stop by for a nice meal.
So I have eaten here many times over the years including take out & eat in. I honestly don't know how they stay open for so many years as every time I pass by there are very few people inside.
Food. Below average & not consistent nor fresh.
Service. Generally slow unless you're a regular or a larger party spending a lot of money I suppose.
Atmosphere. Old, dated & original but at the same time classic Italian cosy.
So take out pizza, what they are famous for. Dough is very very chewy & taste is nothing to write home about. Sauce is barely noticeable & what little you can taste is disappointing. Cheese is limited & thin as well as not covering the entire pizza properly. It was somewhere between a thin crust & slightly more. Pepperoni coverage was poor & overall price was very high for what they serve.
Eating in the restaurant during the week on a Wednesday & a Thursday evening proved to be poor. The bread on table was ok, but salad was a shame a total let down. Other foods orders were not even worth writing about as I haven't anything good to say so I will leave it there.
In summary I suspect that this area has such a limited number of restaurants this place have a built in audience by default & not by choice if they want something close by.
I would certainly not return as it's definitely worth while to drive a little further & have some quality food - Italian or otherwise.
Depth of flavor rule here chef is obviously not afraid to kick it up veal pizziolla was delicious spinach & cheese cannelloni was above the norm. Tableside service was ok not there fault really the place was full they looked a bit frazzled doing there best it seemed to handle bills & plates Overall great choice

Where's Ramsay when you need him!!
Decor out of date small dessert like looking menus with very little choice. ... Not even 5 min looking at the menu the waiter is asking us if we are ready to order & he sees that all are menus are still opened.. The owner was sitting a few tables down watching tv in the dinning area the entire time... The pizza was ok buns were STALE,,, arabiatta pasta & muscle pasta was AWFUL!! but the best was when my friend had as for cheese for her pasta the waiter came with Romano telling us he had to run to the store cause he ran out of cheese so he bough Romano ?
