This has to be my favourite brunch spot in Montreal (& there are a lot of those). Maman feels like a comforting little fairytale oasis from everything outside. The restaurant itself is gorgeously decorated & the service was friendly & quick
We tried the salmon tartine & the cottage cheese pancakes. The pancakes were so soft & fluffy, & almost had a mochi texture. Not too sweet either! The salmon tartine was the highlight though. I don't normally like savoury for breakfast but this was so fresh & flavourful.
Their baked goods are also incredible. Perfect chocolate chip cookies if you ask me (crispy edges, gooey & melty chocolate chips, chewy centre).
I'm sure I'll be back many more times. This place is truly something special.
Such a lovely experience at maman in Notre-Dame O! The atmosphere is beautiful, warm, & welcoming, & you can really feel the care that goes into both the food & the space.
I especially love the French-inspired food, with comforting flavors & traditions from France blended beautifully with a Montréal feel. Everything feels thoughtful, fresh, & full of character.
The only downside for me is the noise level when the restaurant gets crowded. I can absolutely understand why people would give maman 5 stars-the food, service, & setting are all wonderful-but when it's busy & loud, it takes away a little from the cozy, intimate feeling that makes the place so special.
Still, it's a charming spot with delicious food & a lovely atmosphere, & I'd definitely come back. A Montréal gem, especially if you can catch it during a quieter moment 🇫🇷
I only tried so far the Pancakes & cookies, & they were fantastic, The cookie was soo fresh & tasty. Today I only had a Latte & a cookie & I thought it was really well priced at $11.25. Coming back next week,.

It's odd to say, but I loved the plates-they were very Instagrammable. However, the croissants were not fresh, & the pancakes were average. While some enjoyed the salmon toast, it wasn't to my taste. The service & atmosphere were both okay. Despite some disappointments, I wouldn't mind giving it another try.
The ratatouille & sandwiches were amazing - super tasty & fresh. Pastries are unique. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a cozy spot with great food!

The place is beautiful - I really loved the design & branding. I was looking for a meal that wasn't too greasy, so I went with the chicken sandwich & a side salad. Unfortunately, it didn't taste freshly made. It reminded me more of a Starbucks-style sandwich than something you'd expect from a local café. I was hoping for something fresh & flavorful, but it didn't quite deliver.
