Review Summary

Mama Bangkok is widely celebrated for serving what many consider the best and most authentic pad thai in Montreal, with generous portions and excellent value for money. While visitors should be prepared to bring cash for in-person orders and note that operating hours can sometimes be inconsistent, the quality of the food, including the popular fish tacos and various tofu dishes, keeps customers returning regularly. Although some diners have noted varied experiences with the counter service, the consensus remains that the exceptional flavors and high-quality ingredients make this a standout destination for Thai cuisine.

When you finally get past all the ordering obstacles, whether it's the antiquated computer system on-site you have to use to order or the reduced menu & lack of product descriptions/photos on Uber Eats, You get to enjoy one of the best Thai plates in Montreal. I used to go to their other location & loved it, but eventually, the chicken quality became uneatable, but they seem to have now reversed course & have high-quality chicken again. They just need to simplify the ordering process.

Delicious breaded pork pad thai. Portion is twice as big & way better flavoured compared to thai franchise place. Freshness of ingredients stands out in the dish & the al dente on the rice noodles was right on spot. Already said it was delicious. They have a home made "very hot pepper sauce" which I enjoyed. Yes, there is a self ordering touchscreen that you need to scroll on the screen & could be more intuitive or change in design to void scrolling by finger on a thin scroll bar to the edge of the touch screen. Did I mention the price ? Very affordable for the quality & flavors I had, 14.99$ the pork pad thai. The Fauburg atmosphere is not the nicest, not their fault.
