visited this restaurant yesterday, & unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
First, I left a $5 tip, but no one brought my order to the outdoor patio. I had to go back inside & carry the food outside myself.
Second, I ordered two chicken shawarma sandwiches, but they were mostly filled with fries. Each sandwich had only two small pieces of chicken, & the overall size was quite small. The portion did not justify the price at all.
I paid about $37 for two sandwiches, which I found to be very poor value for the quality & quantity of food I received.
The only positive thing I can say is that the restaurant was clean. However, the service & the food did not match the price, & unfortunately, I would not return.
I completely understand that prices go up because of inflation. However, it is hard to accept that the portions get smaller at the same time that the prices go up. Every time I visit, the tawouk gets thinner & the portion of fries gets smaller. It makes me sad.
The fries sandwich brought back memories. I visited Montreal for the first time & Malak Al Taouk had to be a pit stop. Taouk with extra toum is a must too!
I've been going here regularly since the opening, sandwich quality is diminishing, i just got 2 Taouk sandwiches with barely any chicken & a bunch of fries.
It was great when at first he opened specifically the taouk sandwich but it has bn couple of month less & less chicken in the start one sandwich was enough even some times u cannot finished but like today i told the employee if he can put more chicken in the sandwish he told he cant order from lebanon head office to put less chicken even he put me less fries less chicken & more vegetables anw wish they go back how they r before
They increased their prices 3 times in one year. Fried chicken platter is now 26 plus tax compared to 18 in store. That's not right to do.
it's delicious food & it's amazing service fast & also the people work there are so friendly
Very delicious tawouk & service very friendly highly recommended thank you
Food tasted very bad today, my friend & I both threw it away. Employees there knew & didn't have an explanation. One other time it was too salty & they said basically that yeah we put a lot of salt by mistake & didn't want to throw the chicken away
