Employees there knew & didn't have an explanation. One other time it was too salty & they said basically that yeah we put a lot of salt by mistake & didn't want to throw the chicken away
I had a great experience at Malek Al Taouk in Montreal. The food was fresh & very tasty, especially the chicken shawarma. The service was friendly & very fast. The restaurant was clean & well organized. I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
had a great experience at Malak El Taouk! The food is always fresh, flavorful, & authentic. The chicken taouk sandwich was perfectly grilled, juicy, & well-seasoned, & the garlic sauce is absolutely amazing. The portions are generous & the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.
The staff were friendly & the service was quick, even during busy hours. The restaurant is clean & well organized, which makes it even more enjoyable.
If you're craving delicious Lebanese food, especially a tasty taouk sandwich, Malak El Taouk is definitely a great choice. I will definitely be coming back!
If you'd like, tell me which location you went to (for example Laval or Montreal) & I can personalize it more for you 😊
i knew not to order tawouk sando because ive seen the precooked chicken that they have piled up on the corner of the grill to make it easier to prep, so i ordered the batata sandwich. The rudest cashier said that it would take 5 minutes so youd think that they're frying a fresh batch of potatoes, & even then it was somehow the coldest sandwich on earth 🤷🏻?♀? which is very odd given that the customer service is god awful with probably the rudest lady on the register. Maybe it wouldve been waranted because they were so busy & customer service is tough, but it was just me & two other customers at the store, whom have already received their food. Begs the question as to why they have 5-6 staff members on the floor just to serve cold cold food, that you wait for, with the added horrible customer service?
I grew up near Bliss St in Lebanon where Malak El Tawouk is a DELICIOUS go-to! The first time this Malak El Tawouk location opened in Montreal my fiancé & I made the drive from Ottawa to go try it & it was so delicious we brought back sandwiches for the whole family!!! & the place was packed! We just went back again yesterday, very excited for a taste of home, & it was so incredibly disappointing. Did not taste the same at all. It is now an edible chicken sandwich. Very meh. Very mediocre. But is definitely NOT Malak el Tawouk anymore. We will wait until our next trip to Lebanon to have it again on Bliss St because this definitely isn't it 👎
Amazing 4-ppl combo deal. Chicken nuggets were tasty, Chicken wrap was huge, but good. Fries were alright. The mustard sauce was good. Didn't like the garlic 🧄 sauce much but it seems to be a friend's favorite. Overall amazing deal for four people (only 58.99 before tax).
It was nice sitting outside at the patio in summer evening 🌞
Malak Al Tawouk is a hidden gem in Montreal!! If you are looking for a fresh & delicious middle eastern sandwich you MUST give them a try. The meat/chicken is grilled on charcoal!! These guys are serious.
Chicken Taouk speciality. One of the few where you get a tasty sandwich that hold itself during eating! Price/size ratio is amazing. Will come back again.
I must say, a 2/3-star experience based on last night's sandwich & I'm now wondering if that's not overly generous.
Swung by last night after craving a Tawouk sandwich following a 10k run only to be utterly disappointed. I also brought a friend with who has never been before. I'm now finding myself explaining exuberant craving only to get… that.
I distinctly recall the epic bang with which this shop opened last year (I think?). Skewered marinated chicken freshly grilled, wrapped to perfection on a bed of coleslaw & crispy fries… the stuff of legends. Juicy enough for the memory to take hold deep inside your psyche & reappear as uncontrollable cravings after a miserable run. Lol
But that's not what I found last night. The juicy-tender chicken gave way, & a pre-grilled lukewarm rubbery meat took its place. The pita bread wasn't quite as fresh, & the layers of bread stacked up to make chewing more of chore than a delicious culinary experience. Midway through the sandwich, I caught myself unwrapping it to looking into its ingredients. Something definitely changed, & I felt robbed of the promise of that once-delicious memory.
The only saving grace is that the people were unmemorably courteous, & the place was clean. The sandwich is cheap enough to dull the outrage, & I guess the chances of another craving will now have to contend with this below average experience.
Very disappointed Malak Al Tawouk.
That royal title (Al Malak) needs revisiting.
Tsk tsk tsk
good chicken tawouk. the burgers are very good. the fries are very crispy.
Delicious but I order chicken tawouk sandwich... I did not feel the chicken...for 10$ sandwich you should add more chicken than the salad & potatoes
My family & I ordered the chicken tawouk sandwiches & French fries. The food was decent, but we had specifically requested that the kids' sandwiches be made without ketchup & pickles. Unfortunately, this detail was missed, & all the sandwiches included both, which we only noticed after leaving the restaurant. It would be helpful if the staff paid closer attention to special instructions. I rated the atmosphere lower due to the limited seating-no tables were available-& the space felt loud & crowded.
A taste of Lebanon authentic tawook right in the middle of Montreal. The chicken tawook sandwich is flavorful, juicy, & big. You get to see their generosity in ingredients while they make your sandwich.
Consistency is key, chicken was dry & chicken liver cold & not seasoned..too bad..
As its name suggests, Malak Al Tawouk truly deserves to be called the King of Tawouk. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm & welcoming atmosphere that instantly transported me back to Lebanon. The food was nothing short of exceptional. The Tawouk was perfectly seasoned & grilled, resulting in juicy, tender chicken that was bursting with flavor. Every bite reminded me of the authentic Lebanese cuisine I grew up with. The accompanying sides, from the crispy fries to the creamy garlic sauce, were the perfect complement to the meal. Whether you're looking for a quick meal or a place to sit down & savor the flavors of Lebanon, Malak Al Tawouk is the place to be. I left completely satisfied & already looking forward to my next visit.
Chicken was in large cubes & not cooked to order. Just sitting in a pile in a corner of the grill drying out while waiting for orders. Fries were not fresh. For a place that's pretty much just about Chicken & fries, this was hugely disspointing. Sandwich is cold mush. Wasn't busy. No excuse for it. This place was WAY overstaffed. What was everyone doing if not cooking food to order? Boustan (2 original locations) is miles better.
I don't what's with all the hype about this restaurant! This is a sandwich you can make at home... Nothing special about it. Normal coleslaw, cavindish fries, ketchup & lightly seasoned chicken.. don't get me wrong it's a good sandwich but nothing special... But the value for what you pay is amay... It's a huge. Sandwich... So that was the best part about it...
The food is good (it wasn't a good choice taouk classique) it was so dry. But the taste of chicken was good & I wish they had AC indoor.. it was hooot
Always hits the spot, great toum & chicken taouk. Burger is also a great choice, done the Lebanese way
I was really disappointed this time. The garlic sauce wasn't tasty & seemed stale. My first visit was much better. However, the chicken & fries were delicious as always. I hope they continue to maintain that quality.
