The drinks & the bang bang shrimps were great! But the steak had more nerves than meat, I had to send my plate back. We were10 ladies & 8 of us had issues with the food. The service was quite long, I feel like the poor waitress was almost by herself. I wont be back.
Delphine was incredible. She was so kind & accommodating. The lychee martinis were delicious. The vibe in the restaurent was chic & contemporary, with an upbeat music curation. I highly recommend this restaurant for bang-bang shrimp. Delectable menu options in the Chinatown area! Definitely check out this restaurant for your Montreal experience.

This wasn't an incredible experience. I will say that the decor & ambiance were pretty & enjoyable. Also, the service wasn't bad (but not necessarily great either). Only the food was much disappointing. Me & my friend ordered the fried rice shrimp, which wasn't tasty, kinda bland & the shrimp still had its shell, which made it difficult to eat. Another friend ordered the Udon noodles which was the best meal on our table, but still just regular udon. Someone also ordered a steak, which tasted regular & not too good too. My last friend got the Shanghai fried rice (I believe), & she didn't really like it as well. My take on this is to come if you don't really care how good your food tastes, & just want a pretty restaurant.
Ribs were tender but slathered in basic barbecue sauce & sesame seeds so not anything special. Beef & shrimp noodles were good but there was barely any beef, I did enjoy the garlic butterflied shrimp though. I enjoyed my baklava cheesecake. My Tokyo Ghost cocktail was good but the Japanese bedsheet was way too sour & cucumbery. The server was kind enough to fix it for me though.
Pretty decor, nice presentation, friendly accommodating service overall.
Found myself with Chinatown hotel reservations so was away from my usual comfortable Montreal surroundings. Nothing I love more than a dumpling but after arriving from California I felt I needed a little more. I went for a walk & stumbled across Maka?, what intrigued me was the sign for $1 oysters on Wednesdays & greatfully it was a Wednesday. I love Oysters but in California I have trouble finding them under $5 so this was my spot. Stepped Inside & was greeted with a beaming smile by LY & knew that i would be made to feel at home.. LY with her confidence & knowledge of the industry knew how to make a patron feel comforted to be there & struck up a lovely conversation if being old friends. It was early , so was not busy but the crowds started to swell for a wonderful Happy Hour on Tues, Wed & Thurs from 4 to 7pm with 50% off some outstanding appertisers. The place has a wonderful casual atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home . If you do find yourself in Chinatown, take a few steps of the main strip. You will not be disappointed. I loved the Rock Shrimp for my starter , pure crisp perfection & the Teriyaki Salmon topped off my evening delightfully. Get out & give this hidden gem a try.
