I just tried an Iranian restaurant & absolutely loved it!
The flavors took me straight back to home-cooked meals - rich, aromatic, & beautifully balanced.
Highly recommend it if you're craving authentic Persian cuisine!
?
We just tried this amazing Iranian restaurant & the food was absolutely delicious! Everything was full of flavor & beautifully presented. Highly recommended - if you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out! Definitely worth a visit.
Maison Inja offers some of the most delicious traditional Persian dishes in Montreal. Every plate is full of rich flavor, with an unforgettable touch of saffron in every bite. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Persian food.
Super cute Persian restaurant with lots of charm. We really enjoyed the ambience & the creative take on tahchin! We were a bit worried reading some of the reviews but the tahchin (kebab digi & chicken eggplant) were delicious. They are not your usual tahchin dishes - lots of aromatics that made the dish more complex & enjoyable. Highly recommend giving a try!
Lost a few points because of the pricing (not insane but the prices could be more reasonable for what they are).
Pricey, but so worth it for the vibe & the explosion of flavors in every delicious Persian dish.
Soooo good! Mi first persian food & it was amaaaazing! The place is elegant & warm, service was impecable, food again so tasty fresh & delicious!
Beautifully designed & decorated women operated Persian restaurant with great ambience & very cozy spot to relax & enjoy amazing authentic persian food with exceptional modern presentation. super friendly & nice staff.
Don't forget to ask for Persian tea with cinnamon, cardamom & homemade cookies.
What an amazing find. We stumbled on this gem of a restaurant & were so happy! The decor is luscious the food is fantastic & do not miss the amazing drink options. Do not miss on ordering the Tachin with eggplant & chicken/veal.
Best Persian I've had!!
One of the best brunch spots in Montreal with a nostalgic Persian vibe is Café Aunja🩷From the traditional decor to the authentic Iranian flavors, it feels just like home.
This restaurant does have a very nice decor to it, but the food was overpriced. Rice & chicken for 40$, I know safran is expensive & its hard to make proper tahchin, but I still felt like it was a high price. Sadly I also did not enjoy my dish & my plate was dirty. The service was okay.
A bigger concern was after reading all your reviews, how I felt about visiting. Your answers to negative reviews are extremely unprofessional, which made me not want to visit this place but did so for my friends. People are allowed to express their concerns & dislikes, especially the water situation, as a huge Montreal foodie, I have never witnessed any restaurants put water on the table without the customer asking or without them being notified it is an extra charge. You need to listen to your customers, even if you don't agree, & this will lead you to having a successful business. I am giving you two stars due to this, the food & service is not the only thing you should be worrying about.
We've had their famous tachin beef & an eggplant appetizer. Food is good & tasty, however portions are super small. So, it is certainly overpriced for what it is offering. Service is slow, so expect around half an hour to get your main dish, something you would not know until you've ordered. The place is cosy with a nice cultural touch. All the best
Great food & friendly service! The atmosphere was cozy, & everything we ordered was fresh & delicious.
The restaurant is small but very cozy. Food is great but pricy. It's a different flair.
The food was okay & lacked flavour.
Service was mediocre. We were mostly forgotten overall & had to wait 25 minutes after taking our plates to order our dessert & tea.
Food was good but if u like saffron
Tajin with chicken 8/10
Lamb Chops 9/10
Worth a try
foods good but it took 40-50min to get food out when they said it would take 15min & very expensive every dish was around 40$ & i would say the plats are on the smaller side. i ordered two plats & 0 apps & the bill was 100$
It is a wonderful place, Really beautiful & good service! The only problem is that the food is so expensive compared to ingredients that have been added to the dish & the portion.
Be sure to put Maison Inja on your to do list if you are visiting your student at McGill. It is a short walk from campus & very yummy! The service was so attentive & kind (but not overly so). The restaurant is beautifully decorated. We arrived around 5:30 without a reservation & we were seated right away. The restaurant was filling up by the time we left (7:30ish).
