Called with almost no notice & they found a way to accommodate us. The decor has a mid century, Iranian aesthetic that is really nostalgic. The different variations of tahchin was really great. I brought my non-Iranian friends to introduce them to Persian cuisine & they were blown away!
Great place! I really recommend it to try real Persian meals. Atmosphere, decor, dishes & ... are great. Being there feels like home. Thank you Maison inja. 👍
Last year that I meant to visit this restaurant, I went to the cafe mistakenly & I didn't notice! So I thought I just had a bad experience with the hospitality. This year I decided to give it another chance & realized there is a Persian cafe & right next to it, there's this restaurant 😹 I loved both my food & drink but the cafe obviously has more specialty in beverages. Very nice seasonings & portioning & very clean & aesthetic
I recently dined at maison Inja, & it was fantastic. The service was great, with friendly staff. The atmosphere was warm & inviting, making it a perfect place to relax & enjoy a meal. The highlight was the food, especially the shishlik. Every dish was a delight. I highly recommend for anyone seeking a top-notch Persian dining experience.
I have not had such a fantastic & delicious Persian meal for a very long time. I am pescatarian. The dish I was craving for had chicken. They accommodated me. The aroma & taste of the rice was incredible. It brought back memories of childhood & my mom's cooking. Highly recommend it
Truly delicious & amazing service! My colleague made tahdig a few weeks ago & I was absolutely enamoured. To be able to feel & taste that unique comfort food taste at Maison Inja was a huge highlight of our trip to Montreal. The beet bliss was also incredible! We did have the cabbage salad, that while refreshing, was not as exceptional as the other two dishes. I had the Persian Fragrance drink which was a beautiful complement to my meal. Decor & atmosphere is very beautiful!
A delight. Charming setting, delicious food & generous portions. Succulent textures, subtle but deep flavours & the unexpected tastes/touches (like the Persian Fragrance drink we shared) that you hope to find when you encounter a new Persian place. We'll be back.
Very nice Persian restaurant! We tried a couple of dishes & my favourite was definitely the Chicken eggplant tachin!
Maison Inja serves amazing Persian food in a cozy setting. The staff is friendly, & the dishes are delicious. Definitely worth a visit!
Maison Inja is hands down the best Persian restaurant in Montreal! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm & welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The attention to detail in every aspect from the beautifully presented dishes to the impeccable service shows how much they respect & celebrate Persian culture. The food is authentic & bursting with flavor, each dish carefully crafted with fresh ingredients & traditional recipes. Whether you're a fan of Persian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Maison Inja is a must-visit.
Maison Inja is hands down the best Persian restaurant in town. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality & a charming atmosphere. The decor is exquisite
For me is the best Persian restaurant in the Montreal area so far .While the food isn't outstanding it is still quite good, making it the top choice for Persian cuisine locally. The decor is nice & clean, & the staff are good, providing the standard level of service for this type of restaurant. I also really like their logo!
Today, I went with my friend to Maison Inja. The moment we entered, we were enveloped with the cozy ambiance & the familial atmosphere that is reflected clearly by the decorations. The waitresses were very welcoming & smiley. The menu is rich with the best Persian dishes, appetizers, hot & cold drinks, & sweets. They offer alcohols too. We had the beets appetizer which was so good. I took lubya with lamb & my friend kufta. The portion is big & satisfied. They offer the main dishes with a small bowl of yoghurt & delicious green olives. The iced tea is so good & the one with basil seeds (can't recall its name). After, we had a small tea pot consists of Iranian tea & cardamom with the delicious saffron & rose water cake. We split the things we ordered so each one of us almost paid 60$. So far it is the best Persian restaurant in Montreal. It is a bit pricey for many but it is worthy to try it once if you love the Persian cuisine❤️
The interior design is so beautiful. The dishes, wallpaper, chairs, etc. have a nostalgic Persian vibe that we loved. The food was also decent other than Shirazi Salad which I didn't like as it's not a traditional one. I believe they should rename it so that people are not confused. Tahchins come with yogurt & olives which is a nice touch. I would have liked more eggplant in my chicken eggplant tahchin, but I liked it anyway because it was well seasoned & so saffrony. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
What an amazing restaurant. Loved every thing, food, atmosphere, details, design, location... We were a group of 12 from the USA & Toronto & everything we ordered loved it. Its was a great memorable experience. The personal were all very polite, kind & friendly. The owner of restaurant paid so much attention in managing this beautiful restaurant & cafe. Amazing Persian names for the drinks. Lived it! Details on the walls, plates, dishes, ... we truly felt grandma's house with the smell of rose water, saffron, cardamom, cinnamon. Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you so much for having us.
Maison Inja offers an unforgettable dining experience. The shishlik is perfectly marinated & grilled, & the chicken eggplant tahchin is a delightful blend of flavors. The cozy environment & beautiful interior design create an inviting & comfortable atmosphere. A must-visit for exceptional Persian cuisine!
Let's give a demonstration for those not familiar with the food: Tahchin is a persian meal made with rice, saffron, eggs & yogurt, in the shape of the pot (looks like a cake haha). This dish is then complimented with choice of protein which is mostly (the famous & common one) chicken, inside. This restaurant sells different kinds of tahchin, which are basically another way of making some famous persian meals like adas polo (rice & lentils & meat), loubia polo (rice & green beans & meat), in the shape of the pot. It has a great crispy texture on the outside & has the meat & everything inside. Very great food. You can taste the rose water & saffron so well in these meals which makes you feel like you're having a homemade Persian meal. Great staff & great atmosphere (very pretty place), with antique furniture. Beware that the restaurant is small though, so make your reservations in advance. Absolutely loved it.
Best Persian Cuisine I've ever been in Canada, definitely will get back there. Don't miss Adas Polo, Shishlik, & Eggplant Tahchin! desserts are heaven!
The truth beauty of Persian culture. Great ambience, delicious food & warm hospitality ! Definitely you should give it a try!❤️
