Welcome to The House of Jazz (Maison du Jazz) in Laval! Our Montreal location has been a landmark of entertainment, cuisine, and history. Built by French Montrealer Georges Durst, House of Jazz has been a home to Canada’s finest Jazz musicians since 1981. We had a wonderful time. When we arrived we waited a bit before the service. Nevertheless once we have ordered the drinks & food came quickly!

Mon expérience était super bien, j ai été avec mon petit ami pour son anniversaire vraiment c etait l endroit idéal. la nourriture miam , la saveur du filet mignon est encore dans ma bouche. Notre serveur était tres gentil, c est un endroit à visiter les amis je vous le conseille fort. c était parfait!

House of Jazz is always wonderful. Mary Dee's performance along with her band was out of this world. Even after having arrived from Hong Kong, her energy & voice were magical. She & her band were able to connect with their audience with their talent. Also, Mary Dee & the Keyboard Artist came over to speak with us & wish my friend birthday wishes. It was so sweet!
As for the food, I wish there were more vegetarian options. The place would rock even more if the food was stellar. I would have given it a five star for sure.
Our server was nice but did not take care of us properly. She forgot my carrot soup & the bill took a while to come along. She was nice but wish she had checked up on us once or twice.
Still House of Jazz in Laval is a place I will visit because of the performances.

Bonjour j'ai beaucoup aimé la gastronomie & l'ambiance du restaurant. C'est très authentique. Il y a un band live qui performe (très professionnel), leur musique est superbe. Le service & l'accueil aussi était très bien organisé & très cordial. Merci beaucoup!

Payer 93.00$ pour seulement 2 assiettes de cote lever degeulasse( moitier gras, moitier nerf) &
Deux 20oz de bières.... ridicule
Avec le coupon de groupon 50$ on devais avoir les entrés & dessert d'inclus( cetais indiquer dans loffre sur groupon) nous avons rien eux d'autre qu'une assiettes pas très bonne a plus de 35$ chaque

Bonne bouffe parcontre déçu au niveau des quantités, prendre un cocktail à 12$ pour 3 gorgées à peine.. aussi, difficile d'apercevoir le band sur le stage pendant que nous mangeons car beaucoup trop de lustre qui nous cache la vue au deuxième. Je comprend le principe d'effet vieillot & de bon goût mais nous avons manqués la première partie de spectacle & nous n'étions visiblement pas les seuls à le penser car au moins 3 groupes différents arrivés après nous ont demandé à leur serveuse de changer de place. Soirée tout de même agréable mais nous n'avons pas pu en profiter comme nous le voulions. Nous avons soupé & nous sommes partis très rapidement.

House of Jazz is a beautiful venue. Gorgeous decor & the entertainment was good.
This being said, we were very disappointed.
First, we arrived with a reservation for our wedding anniversary & were told there was a glitch in the system & they were overbooked. Fine, these things happen, we decided to wait a little while. We were seated at a table near the bar so we could barely see the stage.
The music was amazing but they performed 2-3 songs then took 20-30m breaks in between sets.
As for the food, we had entrées & drinks & they were all very good.
The staff kept apologizing which we understand but they didn't try to make it up in any way (maybe comp our first round or similar).
We appreciate that they were hustling to make everyone happy & we would go back again in the hopes that it was an "off night".

Un endroit oû il fait toujours bon. Toit sécurité en entrant on est transporté ailleurs . Même avec les coupons Tuango, on sort avec une facture de $150+, mais ça en vaut la peine. Le service est attentionné, la bouffe bonne...plaisir asuré! J'y retournerai encore

Dinner - Oct 6 2018: It has been 4 yrs since I ate here. It will be "never" when I return for dinner! I arrived at 6:45pm - the first 20 min I had no service, not even a glass of water - despite having a seat I called to reserve at the bar. The staff was completely distracted as if they didn't expect guests. My appetizer of Foie Gras was so cold it was brittle & broke into pieces. Zero flavour & it was $22, served with fire-singed "bun" that smelled burnt & also made the meal unpleasant. This was terrible. Then I ordered the only fish dish: cod cooked with a mussels sauce (no mussels I could taste or find), port (where?!?) & purée of Jerusalem artichoke (which turned out to be mostly mashed potatoes). The dish oddly had pieces of white eggplant which was nowhere in the menu description & a frozen pat of seasoned butter sat upon the fish - but since the dish was barely warm the butter did not melt & my first taste had a cold piece in my mouth - all that for $38. I finished my wine & left. The night cost me (with tax) $100 & it has to be the most wasted $100 ever. Very sad. Please do not go for "food" if that is your goal for part of your night out. Have dinner & go for a drink, with the show after 9pm in the GREAT ambiance.
