Review Summary

Maison de Cari Golden is frequently praised for its authentic, flavorful Indian dishes, with popular highlights including butter chicken, fresh naan, and aromatic biryani. Guests appreciate the reasonable pricing and the consistent quality of the food, which often leads to return visits. While the atmosphere is generally considered cozy and welcoming, some visitors have noted that the lack of background music can make the dining environment feel somewhat quiet and exposed. Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended for those seeking a satisfying and well-spiced meal in a comfortable setting.

I went to Golden Curry Restaurant with two of my friends for dinner, & we had a great experience. It's an authentic Indian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere & very friendly staff. We tried butter chicken, Tandoori chicken, lamb curry, Onion bhaji, garlic naan, & vegetable biryani-everything was full of flavor & perfectly cooked. The naan was soft & fresh, & the curries were rich & delicious. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for tasty Indian food in a comfortable setting!

I have been coming here for 20 years. In my opinion some of the best Indian food in Montreal. I particularly recommend the chicken dansak since it's hard to come by elsewhere (only if you can handle spice!) The atmosphere is unfortunately not great since covid, as people have turned to take out

Not what it was
I've been ordering from them for the last couple of years, usually very satisfied. I don't know what happened lately but the food does not taste the same. It's extremely sweetened, less spices, smaller portions & the naan bread came undercooked & half the usual size. I called to complain, as not only they didn't listened, but started convincing me I'm wrong. I would not recommend them anymore & definitely would not reorde
