Review Summary

Maison Bao is widely praised for delicious and affordable dishes, with many notes highlighting dumplings and soups as standout items, including boiled and fried dumplings, pork soup dumplings, and takoyaki. Diners appreciate strong value, generous portions, and student friendly prices, making it a popular quick lunch or casual dinner spot in downtown. Several reviews compliment fast, friendly service and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, while a few mention occasional ordering hiccups or a dish that didnt meet expectations. The menu is described as varied and authentic, with favorites like braised beef soup noodles, chicken noodle soup, and spicy mala chicken noodles, plus vegetarian options such as vegetable and tofu based dumplings, and even desserts like chocolate dumplings. Overall, Maison Bao comes across as a reliable, affordable option with high quality ingredients and a comfortable dining vibe, where the highlight repeatedly centers on the dumplings, soups, and the inviting ambiance.

Ordered Braised beef noodles, Sichuan noodles & pork & cabbage fried dumplings. The broth of the braised beef noodles missed the mark for me tasting very much like chili oil. The Sichuan noodles were good but the main selling point was definitely the dumplings, they were big & juicy & tasted amazing.

I like the decor & cleanliness of the store. It's very easy to order using the QR code & its a great spot for students with their affordable options. We ordered the Sichuan noodles, braised beef noodles, & fried pork cabbage dumplings. I personally really liked their dumplings the most.

Went for a second time & was satisfied! Although I like spicy noodles in general, I wouldnt recommend the spicy beef noodle (i forgot the official name but i believe its the one with 2 🌶? sign on it). Its just painful spicy & not the tasty type of spicy.. at least I think so. Instead. I would recommend the shrimp one with peanuts on top, it was very good! Will go back to try the other type of noodles!
Also dont take the chive dumplings unless you know you like chives :)

Great casual spot for lunch downtown. We ordered the chicken noodle soup, 6 steamed beef soup dumplings, & the braised beef soup noodles. The braised beef soup noodles were the perfect for cold winter days lately. The broth was rich & flavorful, even after I asked for less spice. The service was great as well. Not only did we receive our food very quickly, but the servers regularly checked on us & offered napkins 🥟🙌
