As someone who loves trying omakase experiences around the world it was great to discover this gem of Japanese & Vietnamese omakase fusion. Quiet atmosphere (as expected for small Omakase places) so great for those that want to avoid loud places.
Real wasabi is used in dishes here, which should be expected at this price level but actually not the case at many other higher priced Japanese spots in Montreal. An places a big emphasis on ingredient quality.
Unlike most other high end Omakase which only have a dinner option, An is also open for lunch so it's a great option to do a high quality curated omakase lunch for those that have an hour & 15 mins to dedicate to it.
Highly recommended!
This is the very first omakase I have experienced that is fully female owned & operated. The experience & atmosphere was incredible because they are super friendly & paid a lot of attention to the details of the service as well as the customers' experience. The food is not only based on very fresh & uniquely sourced ingredients, but also incorporated lots of new elements that are inspired by the Vietnamese culture. Chef took the time to describe each & every course to make sense of the combination of the different flavors. I also really admired the entrepreneurial spirit & would love to see them thrive in this business.
Absolutely incredible experience.
Food: Every dish was beautifully composed, thoughtful, & absolutely delicious. The presentation was stunning, & I loved how An took us on a journey through Vietnam, Japan, & Canada with each course. Truly a 10/10.
Drinks: The wine pairing was perfect - delicious, well?chosen, & served at the ideal temperature. I appreciated that it was kept chilled throughout the meal. Another 10/10.
Service: Friendly, professional, & attentive without ever feeling intrusive. We felt completely taken care of from start to finish. Our glasses were always full & the pacing of the dishes was spot?on. Definitely 10/10.
Highly recommend. This was a memorable & exceptional dining experience.
We had such an incredible experience at Maison An. The seating is very intimate & the number of people per service felt just right. Chef An took the time to get to know each of us & to talk us through each dish. The food was incredible, executed perfectly & with a story to accompany each dish. If you're looking for an Omakase experience at an excellent price point, you can't go wrong with Maison An.
A cute little place cozy place, the chef & her wife are together in this.
Viet & Japanese fusion omakaze something we are missing in Montreal.

It was a gastronomic experience that exceeded my expectations. A delightful exploration of flavors, visually pleasing thanks to the dishes & the beautifully arranged tableware for each course. The variety of dishes was remarkable, a fusion of Vietnamese & Japanese cuisines: seafood, fish, meat, vegetables, & the sauces & dressings...wow! Very well composed. The chef explained her creations to us, & the service was impeccable. The restaurant is well laid out. The price is very reasonable. I will definitely return.
I recently visited this newly opened Japanese & Vietnamese omakase fusion restaurant, & the experience truly went beyond my expectations. From the service to the food & the overall atmosphere, everything felt incredibly thoughtful & well curated.
The owners were so kind & welcoming, & you could clearly see the passion & care they poured into creating this place. Chef An took the time to explain each dish in detail, which made the experience even more special. I was especially curious to see how Vietnamese influences would be incorporated into a Japanese omakase, & every creation was both unique & beautifully executed.
The co-owner, Emily, also helped us choose a sake pairing that complemented all the dishes perfectly, which elevated the experience even more.
I had such a pleasant evening & will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend supporting this beautiful new spot!
