I would definitely recommend Maison An Omakase to family & friends.

One of the most unexpected & memorable omakase experiences I've had. More than a meal, it felt like a beautifully composed journey between Japan & Vietnam, brought to life by Chef An & her team.

The food is exceptional. The quality & freshness of the ingredients really shine through, each element carefully selected & thoughtfully prepared. What impressed me most was the balance of flavours, delicate yet vibrant, with every ingredient complementing the next. Nothing felt overpowering, every bite was beautifully harmonious.

At first glance, the dishes look like a Japanese omakase, but with each course, you discover layers of Vietnamese flavours & memories. Chef An's use of Japanese techniques to express her Vietnamese heritage is incredibly unique. The food feels both refined & deeply personal.

With every course, I found myself transported back to Vietnam, to family meals, to rice fields & to the vibrant aromas of everyday cooking. There was a genuine sense of heritage & identity behind the menu.

The photos really don't do this experience justice. What you see isn't always what you taste. A bowl of steamed eggs turns into the flavours of pho with wagyu beef. Salmon with green herb sorbet becomes a lightly spicy, sweet & sour seafood soup. Beef with enoki mushrooms transforms into a Vietnamese tamarind hotpot.
Across 18 courses, every dish plays with sight, flavour & perception. You think you know what you're looking at, until you take that first bite. Truly mind blowing & an experience that awakens all the senses. You have to taste it to truly understand it.

The hospitality was equally impressive. Chef An & Emily were warm, attentive & perfectly timed throughout the evening, with seamless coordination between the kitchen & front of house. Emily's service was particularly well judged, discreet without ever feeling distant, & always perfectly timed.

For the quality of the ingredients, creativity, execution & hospitality, I found it very fairly priced. Every cent felt worthwhile.

I'd happily dine here every week. More than anything, I left curious about what comes next. I can't wait to see Chef An's next creation & where she & her team will take us on the next journey of flavour & heritage.

Another very happy customer 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Chef An was great, the experience was really cool too. But far too expensive. We got a sparkling tea, which was fantastic tasting, but at 80$ the bottle, it is not worth it. It's 33$ online.

For some reason my clothes came out smelling like fried food, despite not being near any frying of food. Very weird.

They should skip the gold dust spray, too much particles flying around.

Side note, the lights are too bright in the face, dimmers won't fix this. They need to put shaders of some sort. The space was a little tight, but not all that much bothersome.

An amazing culinary trip with great host. Thank you chef An & your team. It was a magical night for me & my friends, 16 services, each very unique with a story behind it. Japanese cuisine with a Vietnamese touch, burst of flavors. Must visit, seasonal menu. Very intimate as it can only accomodate 8 invites.

Unique experience. We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday & it did not disappoint. Chef An knows what she's doing & brings sensational Japanese & Vietnamese cuisine to another level. A one-of-a-kind fusion that takes the culinary experience to a top level. A wonderful way to make her birthday extra special.

Took my daughter here for lunch & it did not disappoint. The 12-course omakase was incredible - genuinely reminded us of meals we had in Japan, the ingredients were that good. Chef An's Vietnamese background comes through in some really unexpected, delicious ways too, not just straight Japanese tradition. Sitting right at the counter watching her work made it even better. Such a cool, intimate spot. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Montreal.
