It's not the highest quality cooking but pretty good for the price. I ordered seared scallops, spicy shrimp with black garlic, scallop pineapple ceviche, Cesar salad, grilled asparagus, seared tuna (tataki). All of them were good. Thursday shared portions are actually great not to share.View more

Kept it simple with bread, oysters & a glass of wine. Service perfect, food wonderful.View more
I was in Montreal on a business trip, & a friend recommended Maestro SVP for dinner. They have an impressive array of fresh oysters, other assorted seafood entrées, excellent cocktails, & attentive service (the owner herself). Overall, we had an absolutely delightful meal.View more
This such a fantastic little place. Great vibes: music, decor & food work together amazingly. This is such a little gem! Would highly recommend. Food was outstanding. Talked to the owner & bartender - great people!View more
Amazing oysters, had a selection from all over North America. The mussels & wine were also excellent. Would come back in a heartbeat.View more
Let me start by saying that the food is delicious. However, this might be the only thing this restaurant has going for it ... unless you enjoy subpar service & long wait times. Despite these issues that I could have easily swept under the rug because I find myself to be a reasonable person, the service ended with our waitress (who people have assumed was the owner in previous reviews) lecturing us about how much we tipped her? To be completely frank, our bill was $79.33 & we found it appropriate to tip her $6 (7.6%). This was due to her, again, subpar service where we had a 15-20 min wait & not once did she stop by to check in or inform us how much longer it would be until our food was ready. All that aside, when we paid the bill, she looked towards me (even though my mother paid the bill) & informed me that my mother only tipped her 2-3%. I said, "Oh, mistakes happen," because I didn't want to sit there & explain to her where she could have improved. She then felt the need to tell me that she loses 10% of her paycheck into serving customers & therefore I am obligated to provide a 15% tip. However, even after living in Montreal for five years, it's known that "tips & gratuities are discretionary & dependent on the service quality you've received." I guess perhaps she couldn't fathom that the quality of the service she provided couldn't be anything but spectacular. All that said, to the waitress/owner who has worked at the restaurant for "30 years," I think it might be time to take a "career development training" course in tourism & hospitality at the ITHQ. Please learn to respect your customers, & maybe just maybe they'll start to do the same to you. LNM, sending all my love.View more
Ilene was such a lovely hostess. We absolutely enjoyed every moment from the oysters to the wine. Who's doesn't love a good Picpoul? Highly recommended.View more
Excellent! Très accueillant! Je me sentais vraiment gâté. View more
My bestie & I came here on a whim & it was one of the best spontaneous dinners EVER! The oysters were some of the most delicious I have ever tasted & sooo many varieties! The vedette of the night was the Cajun seafood boil! For anyone who doesn't I is what to eat, this will delight your sense like no other!!! TOP TIER! Flying colours of delicious from this restaurant!View more

The bar tender made amazing cocktails the gin & lavender was absolutely marvelous. We went on Thursday for the sharing menu lots to choose from & was reasonably price. Food tasted great we had the Cajun mussles, malpeque oysters on the shell, mussels with cream white wine & garlic & asparagus with chilli. All fantastic dishes.
