Review Summary

Mae Sri Comptoir Thai is praised for bold, balanced Thai flavors and a range of dishes that many diners enjoy, with standout options like pad Thai, green curry, tom yum and boat noodles and a warm, intimate atmosphere; at the same time several reviews note small portions for the price, occasional price changes or upcharges, and a dining setup that includes ordering and paying at the counter and a QR code menu that can be finicky. Service is described as friendly and efficient by many, though a few visits mention delays or inconsistent experiences, and some critics question authenticity or compare the dishes to other Thai places. Overall, it comes across as a popular, casual choice where many guests plan to return to explore more items, while others feel the value is not always aligned with expectations.

Best thaï comptoir in Mtl!

The pad see ew was really good. The texture of the noodles were the highlight, retaining a bit of chew compared to a lot of other pad see ew place. The pad kra pow was also really good, but the heat was missing. I don't think they used thai chilies so it was slightly disappointing. The Thai milk tea & the Thai lemon tea were both delicious.

Ok, this place is really nice. The terrace is pretty & you can chill. You have to pay before you get the food. I got a pad Thai with shrimp. The pad Thai was really good; the taste was perfect, fitting with traditional Thai food. The portion was good too. I would like to try the new plates they have available. I will go back for sure. I paid 25 dollars for that with taxes & tips of 15%, so I think it is a really good price. I didn't like the inside chair because it didn't have a backrest, but when I was outside at night, they brought me a light. It was so nice.

Can't stop thinking about the beef noodle soup. My husband & I loved it. They didn't have high chairs for my toddler & the restaurant is small but the food made up for it. Will definitely come back!

Best Thai I've had in a long time. Staff were wonderful & accommodating for an allergy. Could not recommend this place more.

The food was really good. We tried their Pad Thai with chicken & prawns, Thai Milk tea, Hainan fried chicken with rice & their chicken balls appetizer. Would definitely recommend !

Absolutely awful standard for Thai food. Bland flavorless food with small portion sizes & no spice. Very good drinks howeve

My Thai friend brought us to this Thai restaurant. The Seafood Tom Yum Noodle Soup is quite good. We all like Thai food, & one of us went to eat it again the next day.

The food was overall really good. The steamed Hainan chicken & rice was excellent. We enjoyed the sticky rice dessert as well. Papaya salad was average, but the soups were interesting. The staff were really friendly & attentive. Had i been able to, would give the restaurant 4.5/5. One thing that brings it down is having to order up front & pay first. I get it, utilitarian, but it seems like a nice restaurant, so having to do a food court/canteen style seems off. However, they do bring the food.

Recommande le porc frit! Bon plate. Mais la couleur du dessert est vraiment bizzare
