My friends are regulars at this place so I frequent it quite a bit myself. Honestly this place ticks nearly all the boxes for a successful, fun bar. Prices are great, atmosphere is always fun no matter how many people are there. Pool tables, jumbo jenga & ping pong tables available so you aren't just sitting around bored. This is a great place to mingle especially in the bar area. Great variety of drinks available in various sizes. Crowd leans towards the college crowd but it's mixed enough to not call it a college bar. No stuck-up vibes here, one of the most chill places downtown. Gets very packed on weekends especially in later hours. Staff is wonderful here, shoutout to Steve for being such a gem. Zubair deserves a shoutout as well for his wonderful service.
This place is fantastic, affordable drinks, great atmosphere & awesome service. Shout out to Raven for being a fantastic bartender. We are visiting from out of town & have absurdly overpaid for drinks until finding this place. Coming here is like stepping into a dive bar from my younger days. Music is great & fun sides like pool & ping pong. 10/10 recommend.
Raven served me & she was amazing super kind, super understanding, there wasn't enough glasses so me & my friend had to get a half pint each of guinness instead of a full pint & she explained the situation to both of us (who are drunk) with class. If your coming to Mad-hatters & your bartender is Raven consider yourself lucky & rest assured your drinks will be delivered in a timely manne
Saige is the best she always fast & the drink never mistaken, I never had to check I just had my drinks. Hands down to her, I wish when I visit next time & she's still here
Excellent service, bar tender was chill. Drinks are reasonable priced with large variety. Has 3 pool tables, & lots of seating. No food served. No heating even in January, so had to stay in a hat. Cool spot though
This bar is AMAZING! We went in for a few drinks. Ended up meeting the owner who was bartending, talking about the bar life. Met some young kids who ended up adopting us. Thanks for the great time Mad Hatter!!!
Disappointed & disrespected
I came here expecting a good night out, but instead got served a pitcher that tasted like plain water. I went to the barman to mention it, thinking maybe there was a mistake, but he literally laughed at me & acted like I was crazy. Super unprofessional & disrespectful. Whether the drink was watered down or just made wrong, the attitude was the worst part. I usually have no problem when I go to mad hatter but this time , it was so crowded & how the barman replied to me was so unprofessional & mean. Also the bar smelled like puke & piss, & everything was sticky - the floor, the tables, even the chairs. It honestly felt dirty & unhygienic. Between the gross environment & the rude service, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Definitely not worth your time or money.
Wasn't bad but wasn't the cleanest place either. Came & left after 15 minutes as there was a strange smell & overall just didn't look like a place I'd want to eat. The service was great & I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy coming for some pool & a drink! Just an average bar overall in my opinion
