This was a very disappointing experience. The value for money is extremely poor considering the overall quality of the food & service.
The mezzes which are usually the highlight of any Lebanese restaurant were particularly underwhelming. Most dishes lacked flavor & depth. They felt bland & uninspired rather than fresh & vibrant.
The grilled filet mignon was tough & difficult to cut while the chicken was dry & overly charred which made it unpleasant to eat.
Overall the experience did not justify what we spent, $125 per person, & I wouldn't return.

We recently entrusted Lylac Restaurant in Laval with catering for our child's First Communion, & the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
Food: The spread was a delightful journey through authentic Middle Eastern flavors. Each dish was prepared with care-fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The generous portions ensured that all our guests were satisfied, & many commented on the quality & taste of the food.
Service: The team at Lylac went above & beyond to make our event memorable. From the initial planning stages to the day of the celebration, they were attentive & accommodating. The owner personally supervised the setup, ensuring everything was perfect. Their professionalism & dedication truly stood out.
Overall Experience: Choosing Lylac for our First Communion catering was a decision we won't regret. Their combination of delicious food, exceptional service, & welcoming atmosphere made the occasion truly special. We highly recommend Lylac Restaurant for anyone looking to host a memorable event.
What a fantastic experience. They catered my mother's 80th & they went above & beyond in both quality & quantity. Bren happily eating the leftovers for a week & the guests both young & younger loved the food. Jan was quick to respond & very accommodating. Food was incredibly fresh & flavoured beautifully. We had it all. Filet mignon, shrimps, chicken plus all the mazze. The kibeneyeh, fatouche & the hummus were almost as good as moms 😉

Lylac is one of the best restaurants. The portions are very big, they are really generous with food, as well as the desserts. The quality of the food is top. & the prices are really really good , not expensive at all for the classic restaurant like this . Highly recommend
We made a reservation for 8 people & we went there as some of us wanted shisha but unfortunately they don't serve shisha now ... so we ordered some food, honestly it was very very low quality... we ordered a sandwich it was a one bite sandwich empty inside ... we ordered chicken pizza & soujouk pizza ... I can't tell you how the meat on top of the pizza smelled like & how cheap the cheese they used. Honestly felt like it's a heated frozen pizza (the one we get in the supermarket) Also the first thing that got served to us was patate & imagine it was with curry spice so no one liked it & we asked to return it & they confirmed that it has curry & took it back... then we received our pizzas & sandwiches & no one was able to eat the food on top of the table ... but we couldn't return all the food... & it wasn't cheap honestly, we paid a lot of money for a very untasty food ... They really should consider changing their menu or just remove pizzas & sandwiches & only keep middle eastern specialty (we didn't try it though)

We drive from Ottawa to come have breakfast or dinner. They NEVER disappoint us with their delicious selection of the variety of food . Great service & very welcoming. Can't talk enough about the high quality of food especially their BBQ selection
