Lyla earns praise for rich, aromatic pho broth, flavorful soups, and a menu that offers something for every Vietnamese craving, with generous portions, fast and friendly service, and a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes Montreal feel like home. The pricing is described as affordable and the atmosphere great for quick lunches or family meals. A few reviews mention delivery order issues such as small portions or one item being oily or undercooked, and the evening combo is sometimes seen as average. Overall, Lyla is regarded as a dependable, often top choice for pho and Vietnamese cuisine in the area, with many expressing intent to return.

Best Vietnamese restaurant I know. I am a regular customer & I always enjoy my meals. The service is awesome & the staff is great, always friendly & welcoming. They make sure I am satisfied with the option I choose & make changes to accommodate my preferences. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Really good for its price range! You can eat really well for $20. The broth for their soups is made from beef bones & is simmered overnight. You can taste the difference in quality compared to other places in the city. Their grilled chicken Tonkinese soup hits all the right spots when I have a cold. The air circulation can be a little strong so I would recommend bringing a sweater if you're someone that often gets cold. The staff talks to people like they are old friends even if they just met. It's also a BYOB. I'd say it's actually one of my favorite spots to eat in the city.
First time trying, drove all the way from NDG. Worth the drive! Place is clean, the atmosphere is nice & the service was amazing. Pho is delicious!!! The combo dinner plate comes with ice cream which is new to me. Prices aren't too bad either! Will definitely come back & try other items
Nous avons adoré notre expérience au restaurant Lyla. Les quantités étaient généreuses & le service à la clientèle impeccable. Nous reviendrons assurément !

food is fire, love that the supper special comes with a lil mini pho, & they got videos of various beautiful coastal locations playing on the tv. habibi, forget dubai, come to lyla.
A very solid 4/5! The staff is absolutely lovely & there's something about that interior decor that is so soothing. The food is very yummy. Had the dinner combo S7 & it hit the spot especially with the little soup & ice cream at the end. Very decent meal for $20 +tax. this plate comes with beef & chicken & they're both seasoned so well I wanted more! Check out #sullivansfoodreview on TikTok & IG for the full vid 🫶
