Really good for its price range! You can eat really well for $20. The broth for their soups is made from beef bones & is simmered overnight. You can taste the difference in quality compared to other places in the city. Their grilled chicken Tonkinese soup hits all the right spots when I have a cold. The air circulation can be a little strong so I would recommend bringing a sweater if you're someone that often gets cold. The staff talks to people like they are old friends even if they just met. It's also a BYOB. I'd say it's actually one of my favorite spots to eat in the city.

A very solid 4/5! The staff is absolutely lovely & there's something about that interior decor that is so soothing. The food is very yummy. Had the dinner combo S7 & it hit the spot especially with the little soup & ice cream at the end. Very decent meal for $20 +tax. this plate comes with beef & chicken & they're both seasoned so well I wanted more! Check out #sullivansfoodreview on TikTok & IG for the full vid 🫶

Amazing food, chicken wings were the best very juicy & crispy. The pho was very delicious , fresh meat. Just need to improve on the service. The waiters don't come check on the table they don't give you side plates, we ordered chicken wings to share between 2 people they just brought it on the table & left .

I've been going here for YEARS with my dad & it's a 11/10 every single time. The grilled chicken pho brought us here initially but everything is sooooo good, done so well & you're always so well received even on busier nights.

I had walked by Lyla numerous times before & noticed the BYOW sign. The place was usually near empty. On this Sunday evening, my party of three decided to give it a try. To my surprise, the place was packed.

What looks like one more run of the mill Vietnamese eatery is pretty much that - on the food front, at least. The menu is standard (with a larger than usual selection of Pho) & the presentation lacklustre. The ingredients - chicken, shrimp, etc. - are of industrial quality. Fortunately, the prices are in line - so this is not an expensive restaurant, & of course, you can bring your own wine or beer.

Lyla does however excel at service - the staff being numerous & prompt. Decor is a mix of pretentious architectural features (an expensive scalloped ceiling), accompanied by tables & booths requiring refurbishing & lighting bright enough for a Costco warehouse. Clearly, someone changed their minds along the way.

Lyla is fine for a quick inexpensive no-frills weeknight dinner. Just don't bring a date or a birthday party you want to impress.
