About

Lucille's Au Marché delivers a specialized culinary experience centered on the authentic flavors of the sea. The menu emphasizes fresh, sustainably sourced maritime ingredients prepared with technical precision to highlight natural textures. Diners encounter a selection of classic seafood preparations ranging from buttery lobster rolls to delicate shellfish platters arranged for purity of flavor. The establishment maintains a streamlined focus on oceanic bounty, ensuring that every plate reflects a commitment to quality aquatic products. High-quality marine proteins take center stage, supported by seasonal accompaniments that enhance rather than overshadow the primary ingredients. This approach ensures a consistent delivery of maritime staples in a setting designed for efficiency and ingredient-focused nourishment. The result is a straightforward, ingredient-driven menu that prioritizes the integrity of each maritime component while maintaining a clear and accessible culinary identity.

Review Summary

Lucille's Au Marché is widely celebrated as a vibrant, historic Montreal landmark located along the Lachine Canal, offering a charming atmosphere and high-quality artisanal goods. Visitors appreciate the diverse selection of fresh produce, specialty cheeses, gourmet meats, and baked goods, often highlighting the market's cozy, European-style aesthetic. While many find the experience delightful and perfect for picking up unique ingredients or enjoying a meal in the food court, some note that prices can be higher than standard grocery stores and the area can get quite busy on weekends. Despite differing opinions on cost and accessibility, the market remains a beloved cultural hub that is highly recommended for its fresh offerings and beautiful seasonal displays.

Really fun market. It's great to have an indoor market when the weather turns cold. Produce is still fresh, beautiful, & delicious even in winter! A good spot to grab some lunch too. Yummy brisket sandwiches & French pastry for dessert!

Petit marché. Le point positif c'est le prix du sirop d'érable que j'ai trouvé le moins chers à 7$ par un vendeur.

The market is great. It is great for meats, cheese, specialized products & many other things. The fruits & vegetables are of high quality. There are less people selling fruits & vegetables than other markets but there is a lot of varieties of very good quality.
