Grabbed lunch here with friends on Saturday & the seafood counter alone is worth the trip. We ended up eating grilled corn & fresh oysters right on a bench outside, watching the boats go by on the canal. The vendors were super friendly & happy to let us sample a few cheeses before buying. Parking was a hassle but honestly the atmosphere made up for it completely.

Lovely little market lined with local produce, meats, cheeses, breads, & an indoor + outdoor food court. Grab what you need for the week or enjoy your meal on the banks of the Lachine. Washrooms are onsite as well.

Stopped by the market Friday evening around six & it was buzzing but not chaotic, that golden hour light through the big front windows on Atwater is worth the trip alone. Grabbed a sandwich from the cheese counter upstairs & the guy actually took time to walk me through three different options instead of just pointing. Prices are a notch higher than a regular grocery store but the produce & the baked goods are clearly a cut above, & the mix of vendors means you can piece together a full picnic in fifteen minutes. Bike racks & a small lot out front made it easy to swing by without much hassle, definitely adding this to my regular stops when I'm back in Montreal.

I mean, this place has everything you need!
Fresh produce, fish, cheese, bread, beer, & every marinated meat you could ever want for your Sunday BBQ!

Get yourself a baguette, a few cheeses, charcuterie, & a beer or two & go sit by the canal for a relaxing afternoon.

Stopped by Atwater Market on a Tuesday evening looking for good light for some shots, & honestly the place itself ended up being the real subject. The warm glow coming through the tall windows hit the produce stalls perfectly around 6pm, & I spent way more time there than planned. Grabbed a wedge of aged cheddar from one of the cheese vendors near the back & it was genuinely one of the better things I've eaten this year. If you haven't been on a weeknight when it's quieter, you're missing a completely different & more relaxed version of this place.
