Since its creation, Lola Rosa is non-vegetarians' favorite vegetarian restaurant. We want to prove that eating without meat is possible and delicious. Toujours aussi bon! Mon resto végane préféré à Montréal. Tous les ingrédients sont frais & fais sur place - rien n'est industriel (incluant le fauxmage). C'est abordable, & l'endroit parfait avant un spectacle à la Place des Arts - mais réservation essentielle les fins de semaine.
We sought this place out for dinner while visiting Montreal since it is a vegan restaurant. The restaurant was very busy & a bit crowded. The noise level was quite loud & it was hard to converse. (One guest was legit wearing noise cancelling headphones & I was a bit jealous.). The staff were very friendly albeit very busy. The place seemed slammed! The staff seemed to keep up & food arrived quickly.
To start, we had the deep-friend cauliflower & the eggplant bharta - both were delicious! For mains, we had the lasagne & the house curry. Both were underwhelming & lacked flavour. One exception would be the chickpea flatbread that came with the curry. It was a stand out.
I may consider visiting again to try other items on their menu, but I think I would prefer to go when it is less busy - or just get takeout if available.

Ce n'est pas mon genre de resto habituel, mais j'ai grandement apprécié ma visite. Bonne bouffe, belle ambiance & personnel agréable. J'y retournerai sûrement
Excellent food, excellent service, a staple of the Montreal vegan/vegetarian community for many years for good reasons! We did our wedding celebration here, everyone was taken aback by how cute the upper floor is for private reservations & how delicious vegan food (go tartare) can taste! 10/10 would do it again!
C'était notre 5ieme visite & c'est toujours une délicieuse expérience. L'accueil, l'ambiance, le menu, l'équipe, tout est parfait! Quand nous repasserons à Montréal avant d'aller voir un spectacle, il est clair que nous réserverons une table!
