I came in last Thursday with my family & we had a great time, which was complimented by our fantastic waitress Nayali. Super pleasant young lady who made really good recommendations. Also, you can never go wrong with Le Gaufrier 😋

If I could rate the service negative, I would. Nothing was done correctly, waitress was rude, couldn't even get waters until mid way through the meal. This was BADDDD.

Même si je n'ai pas de reproche à faire au niveau de la nourriture ce fut tout de même une expérience pas tellement agréable.
Lors de la prise de notre commande nous avons demandé à la serveuse s'il était possible de remplacer les patates pour des tomates ou de la salade, elle nous a répondu dans l'affirmatif sans spécifier d'avantage.
Jusqu'à là aucun problème.
Lors du paiement de l'addition nous avons constaté qu'il y avait des frais supplémentaires & la serveuse nous a expliqué que c'était en raison du remplacement des patates ce à quoi nous avons répondu qu'elle n'avait jamais spécifié cette contrainte.

Nous avons poliment expliqué la situation au gérant mais malheureusement il ne semblait pas trop ouvert à nos commentaires en nous faisant remarquer que c'était à nous de faire attention en lisant le menu, qu'il possédait d'autres restaurants & que ce n'était pas un problème, ce à quoi nous avons répondu que ca prendrait juste une seconde aux employés d'expliquer cette condition aux clients.
Ce n'est pas le montant de surcharge supplémentaire qui est problématique, c'est juste une question de principe car le client est beaucoup plus intéressé à commander ses oeufs qu'à se taper le'fine printing'.

It was my first time at L'OEufrier DDO, & unfortunately, I was disappointed.

I ordered the Classic breakfast. The potatoes were cold & contained many small broken pieces instead of nice breakfast potatoes. The waffle arrived already soaked in syrup, so there was no option to enjoy it without syrup. The coffee tasted old & wasn't even served hot.

Overall, the meal was very basic & lacked freshness. The atmosphere also felt cold & unwelcoming, which did not make for an enjoyable dining experience.

Based on the reviews, I was expecting a much better experience.

I used to visit this chain quite often, it had pretty decent food & a nice atmosphere/service. This spot however is a little on the careless side when it comes to quality of food. The potatoes felt overcooked/old, same with the bacon as it was extremely dry. The eggs were good, as was the crepe so I enjoyed that. My partner however ordered the eggs benedict that came with caramelized onions but instead the restaurant put raw onions. That one was a tough one, I don't think anyone should visit. The establishment needs to change how the food is prepared.

My experience at this location was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I was seated to the friendly service & great coffee, everything was perfect. The Eggs Benedict with the spicy hollandaise, crispy potatoes, & fresh fruit were served hot & were absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Montréal!
