Really loved the food, the right amount of spices & they are really generous in their portions. The plantains were delicious & the cashier was really welcoming. A definitely go to, truly worth it.

I live ten minutes away & have ordered frequently & ate on site as well. Inconsistent quantity & quality : It goes from excellent to pretty average (sometimes it's spicy, sometimes it's pretty bland, sometimes the plantain are burnt, the pork a bit chewy etc) but I guess that's the compromise for the wait time that is super short.
I ordered from Uber eats & they give so much less food than before. Half the plantain side I got was burnt. I got extra oxtail but the extra oxtail was 1 piece with lots of gravy & fat for 14$? Like come on. The regular oxtail plate had almost no rice when you see the amount of meat you expect more rice but that's not the case. I'm disappointed.
I've had the veggie plate in the past & it was great, hot, full of flavour, big portion, fresh & came with hot sauces you could add on. I went yesterday & the portion was smaller but not small so not the big issue. The big issue was the plantain was cold so at first I thought this was a bit of a disappointment but I'll keep eating it. Next bite did not taste fresh. Gave some to my friend to try, she liked it but also found it tasted like mold. Tried another bite, even more moldy I was afraid to swallow. Next bite, very mushy. After I was done eating I told the 2 staff working there about my experience with the plantain & advised them to not serve it to more customers in the very least. They replied "nothing wrong with the plantain, tastes fine, we made it today." I said "you may have made it today but you've left it out cold & bacteria can grow." They said "we made it today so it's probably just the seasoning. But thanks well tell our manager tomorrow. If you have an issue you can reach out to our manager." & didn't do anything about it. I was really annoyed with the low quality of service because I used to love this restaurant & don't want it to stay like this. Would be such a waste if this issue continues & isn't dealt with immediately. Not even an hour later I got a stomach ache & it lasted like 2-3 hours. Rest of the food was great though.. wouldn't be so hard to check in on this
We've been coming here for 5 years & they NEVER disappoint. Meat is always tender & falls right off the bone, plantains are juicy & rice is delicious & well seasoned. Whenever we're in the are this place is a MUST. Prices are reasonable for portion sizes & i personally recommend their pork!

Yum! We got pork jerk poutine with plantains on the side. Sooo good the sweet plantains really compliments the savoury poutine. Absolutely will be back!
L'assiette végé est super! Les pois sont pleins de saveur, un peu épicés, mais ça se balance bien. Surtout avec le riz, la salade de concombre & les plantains! Miam!
I wanted to try Lloydie's since moving to the Mile End but unfortunately the hype did not meet expectations. The jam patties were overly flakey & not very well seasoned with way more pastry than meat, & my jerk chicken was not all that exciting. The rice was dry & plantaines were a bit soggy. What was more annoying was ordering online takes you through DoorDash despite there not being any indication that's where you're ordering from. Therefore all items on the menu are about 20% more expensive, which sucks as I was picking it up. If ordering to go, call instead.
Loved my experience here! Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, chill vibe. Jerk chicken plate was so, so good. A great portion size, & the plantains & slaw brought so much to the tastes, textures & balance of flavour. Truly loved it, wish I had Lloydie's in my city! Took two patties to go so I could enjoy even more Lloydie's later!
Also, house made ginger beer was perfectly spicy & sweet!
Ordered via ubereats. Now I'll admit it doesn't look very appetising from the pictures here but the oxtail stew is incredible! Even with 30 minute delivery time. Jerk chicken (well seasoned & tender) & plantain (soft & sweet) are delicious as well. & I love their spicy sauce! (Not too spicy) Everything I ordered was good, it left me a good impression of Caribbean food. Would order again. Now for the downside is that it feels a bit expensive to me (I'm poor)

J'ai été reçue par un employé fort sympathique. Service hyper rapide & repas fort délicieux. Pour une fille qui a habité en Jamaïque, je peux vous dire que le jerk pork était complètement savoureux, le riz, le plantain, la salade de choux à la noix de coco. C'était ma première fois & c'est certain que j'y retournerai. Je vous ferai de belles références
