It's genuinely the best middle eastern place I've tried in Montreal/Laval, staff is caring & friendly, food is fresh & top quality, we love the falafel. We recommend the flavoured lemonade, the fried cheese sticks with honey & to be honest… everything else! Thank you Leymoun for always serving the best quality !Voir plus
The reception was very professional & kind. All smiles & warmth! They took the time to explain the menu & helped us with selecting our lunch. We ordered fried halloumi, shawarma dish & Beef dish with tea. Firstly, the portions are generous. We had to leave with a to-go plate. The flavors are definitely there, a beautiful blend of spices. We can taste the freshness also. Nothing spicy however. We ordered black tea on the side & truly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was practically full at 2pm on a Saturday which says a lot. I paid about 49$ (chicken shawarma, 1/2 tea, 1/2 grilled Halloumi). My only recommendation would be to be more generous in the quantity of beef. I'll definitely be back!!Voir plus
This was my very first Syrian brunch, & I'm so glad I got to experience it with my aunt & cousin on a cozy girls' day out. We headed to Leymoun, a charming little spot tucked away on Rue Dudemaine, & from the moment we walked in, it felt less like a restaurant & more like someone welcoming us into their home.
The vibe? No wait & no pressure-just a space made for slow sips, shared bites, & long, lingering conversations.
We started with a big pot of black tea, freshly steeped in-house so it's ready to pour by brunch. It was bold, fragrant, & the perfect pairing for everything that hit our table.
Here's what we shared (& devoured):
• Petit Déjeuner Platter - A beautiful spread of Syrian breakfast classics. Creamy dips, salty cheeses, crunchy veggies, warm falafel, homemade fig jam (sunshine in a spoon!), & juicy green olives. Pomegranate seeds scattered over the plate added bright, tart pops that tied everything together.
• Fatté Hummus au Shawarma - This one was a favorite. Layers of creamy hummus, yogurt, & tahini, topped with tender chicken shawarma, grilled almonds, & crispy pita chips. Rich, tangy, crunchy, spiced-it had it all.
• Shakshuka - A simple & satisfying take on the dish, with soft feta cheese eggs, sautéed onions, tomatoes, & peppers. Comfort in a plate.
• Fried Halloumi with Leymoun Sauce - A standout surprise! The salty halloumi paired with their signature za'atar-honey-sesame sauce was chef's kiss. Sweet, salty, herby, & seriously addictive.
You can taste the love in every bite here. Everything felt thoughtful, homemade, & meant to be passed around the table. It's the kind of brunch that turns into a whole afternoon of catching up.
Foxy Tip: Bring your favorite brunch crew & take your time. Leymoun is all about slowing down & savoring the little things-flavors, stories, & the company you're with.
I'm always sharing local gems & cultural eats over on @foxyappetite (Instagram) & @foxy.appetite (TikTok)-& this one definitely earned its spot.

The prices & quantities are very reasonable. We were 2 & we took 3 plates of foul, one of eggs with awarma, pot of tea & fried cheese rolls. The owner was very warm, welcoming & friendly. We took the foul mdamass which tasted home made & made with love, the foul b laban which was very good & very light & the balil which was also fresh, citrusy & light. I would definitely go back & recommend.Voir plus
What a gem of a restaurant in the neighbourhood. The owner is welcoming & kindly explains the menu to you if you're not familiar with the cuisine. The place is warm & homey, very simple & unpretentious. The food itself is fresh & flavourful, with options of dishes that can be easily shared. Portions & prices are both very reasonable. This is a good brunch place to come with your family (even with kids)! I particularly enjoyed the fried halloumi with spiced honey & look forward to trying more of their dishes.Voir plus
