french(44) brunch(37) tartare(32) dessert(24) recommend(24) steak(23) wine(23) pain(22) sauce(21)A busy spot, full with multi-generational families on Sunday night, which resulted in a long meal since staff was very busy. However, the service was attentive & very friendly. Overall impression from food is uneven: beef tartare appetizer was very good, smoked herring was OK, & the escargots were a miss. I enjoyed my liver main dish but my party found it too "offal'y". The main dish of scallops was also good.View more
This is a gem in Montreal. Classic French Bistro with a twist. Service is great, food is amazing, you can't go wrong with Lemeac. You can do business lunches, romantic dinner or birthday parties. Please enjoy a happier life after tasting the PAIN PERDU. Thank me later. PeaceView more
View more
Excellent food: cauliflower Mac n cheese, panko chèvre on gem lettuce, mushroom ravioli, cod with fennel puree on potatoes, frites, lemon tart, Palmado aperitif. Dined on terrace on a beautiful summer eve.View more
Loud & overrated. The food is average at best. Chewy steak, burnt & overly sweet French toast. Brunch manager has an attitude because we asked for no pork in a dish twice, they forgot, served us the dish with the pork, & I told him that was unacceptable. Turns out at Lemeac the manager's feelings are more important than what's in your plate so watch out if you have allergies & they mess up your order not to upset him by pointing out they messed up. Maybe this place was good 15 years ago but it's hasn't been good for at least a few years, no idea why people still go there. Maybe they like to shout at each other & eat bad food served by people with bad attitudes. If you're in outremont go to mikado or damas instead.View more
Excellent place for brunch. We ordered the french toast & the organic omelette. Everything was really good but the omelette was on the small side. I'd recommend this place !View more
I love atmosphere of this lively place. Great service, amazing food. Fast lunch serving. I've got Beef tartare & matchstick potatoes together with'Fleur de sel' salmon pot au feu. Tartare was super fresh & delicious. Salmon in a soup was surprisingly fresh with amazing texture: salmon was medium & melted; while vegetables were almost al dente, the only way you can have vegetables in the soup. Bravo!View more
i would literally eat there everyday if i could, sadly i don't have money for that but i've been there countless times & it never gets old :) the crab cake never fails the duck confit is delectable THE PAIN PERDU is a must try & the bread they serve before the meal is soo good for some reason like some might think it's a little tough but NO it's great edit: FINALLY went there for brunch & omg it was delectable edit(2): went there for my birthday again & yeah always impeccable as per usual. it might be my favourite place in the whole world.View more
Must save room for the Pain perdu dessert. I recommend sitting on the side patio on a beautiful day ☀️View more
A well balanced Negroni. Yum. Try the potato, asparagus, tart with goat cheese for brunch.View more
Very good calamari appetizer. The Cornish Hen as a main was nice but wish I ordered something different, like one of their tartares. The Bloody Mary cocktail was not very good, but they didn't have it on the menu, so no need to expect much from it since it was a favor. The floor has a very nice set of tiles, like they belong in a very beautiful vacation home. For dessert the crème brûlée was great. You'll also have plenty of wines to pick from.View more
View more
À faire & à refaire, time & again, comme diraient nos amis Anglos.View more

The duck confit is very good, highly recommend this place. It is also pretty accessible & reservations don't have to be made too far in advance.View more
