It was a nice experience & a good ambiance. The food was great tasting. The only thing I would say is that my lamb curry didn't have more than 8 small pieces of lamb & 3 of them were fat.
But I would come back again.

Bad experience with ordering via Uber. If you need to modify your order - there is no option to go back & add details in the Uber Eats app - & you will not be refunded & lose your money if you cancel an order . I lost 77$ & I just wanted to modify my order to include the type of dish I wanted. I called the restaurant with no success in response, & then they closed on the app.

Uber Customer Support does not assist with resolving this issue & the restaurant is unresponsive via, phone, social media accounts or email.

This is not the kind of business I want to support .

The Indian food here is excellent. I'd rate this restaurant in the top 3 in Montreal. The flavour is southern Indian & the dishes are cooked with quality ingredients & technique unlike the mass produced stuff you get elsewhere. Many restaurants short change you with fake basmati rice or canned spinach in the Palak dishes, but not here. Here it is authentic & I hope it remains so. Also, unlike most Indian restaurants, they have made an attempt to create a cosy, inviting vibe. Portions are good & prices are reasonable for the quality. The service is unfortunately not great at all. The corner cutting with no paper towels in the bathroom (a brown paper roll left there is the only option) & having to pay at the counter instead of at the table are areas of improvement, besides the lacklustre service. Overall, a good option in Montreal for authentic Indian fare.

Was out looking for a bite to eat in Brossard & stumbled on The Swaad so we gave it a try. I have to give credit where credit is due. Everything & I mean everything was succulent & delicious!!! My hat goes off to the chef whipping up that magic behind the scenes. The hostess/waitress was delightful & had knowledge of everything we ordered. She even blessed us…. well 1 half with a Mango lassi. Definitely will be back to The Swaad & definitely recommend giving it a try for authentic Indian cuisine. 10/10
