Decor and ambiance receive frequent praise, with quiet, cozy dining rooms, local art, and a welcoming feel that invites lingering. Overall, guests emphasize that the combination of cuisine, service, and setting makes Le Surcouf one of the standout French dining experiences in the area.
This place would be a hidden gem if it weren't for it's already well deserved reputation. Spectacular food & service. The private ambience makes for a fine dining experience focused on the food, wine. Fair value as well, considering the quality of the food.
We've been dining at Le Surcouf for 20 years. Last night's meal was perfect as always....delicious, innovative cooking & terrific service, all for a very reasonable price on the bistro menu. Hats off to the chef, staff & owners. Can't wait to go back!
Le surcouf never disappoints! The food is delicous, the service attentive. Dining in this historical house admidst the vast selection of artwork is delightful. Extra bonus was that we came midweek & had the bistro menu!! Same delicious style of food for a bit less money.

The food was good & the music low, we enjoyed our evening as a family.... however, our waiter needs to be replaced. Very sorry to say this but he didn't deserve more than 5$ for being physically present. Very cold & stuck-up. Didn't explain anything when we asked for recommandations regarding cocktails, just showed us the menu & asked us to read lol. For the price we're paying & the tip you're getting, I think we deserve a minimum of talking. Oh, & how could I forget the most awkward part of our evening (lol), when we made an innocent joke about cheese, he looked at us awkwardly & said "that's not really my sense of humor" come on man relax & just laugh it off.
Hands down the best restaurant in The West Island! The food was excellent, & matched by the equally perfect ambience & service. This is the restaurant that I recommend to anyone who is looking for a five-star experience.
Experience inoubliable, services impeccable, personnel attentionne Nous allons y retourner & nous allons partager notre experience avec Notre entourage
