Je suis allé au Speakeasy pour la St-Valentin avec mon amoureux... Nous avons été très bien accueillis & malgré que la place était bondée, nous avons passé une soirée intime & romantique grâce au service exceptionnel & à l'ambiance à la fois chic & chaleureuse. L'éclairage tamisé & la musique étaient parfaits. La nourriture était excellente & a fait pleurer de bonheur nos papilles gustatives. Le service aux tables est impeccable, nos plats nous sont bien présentés, ce qui nous permet d'en apprécier encore plus les saveurs complexes.
Service hors pair, menu élaboré avec soin, en plus d'une expérience unique & surprenante ! Je ne veux pas en dire plus pour ne pas gâcher de surprises à personne, mais j'ai passé une excellente soirée au Speakeasy. L'ambiance est chic & chaleureuse, & les drinks étaient excellents. J'y retournerai, c'est certain !

The service was fine. The ambiance was nice. However there was this one thing: when asked about nuts on the menu, the waitress said that there were none except for the dukkah. Yet, the muhammara was served with big chunks of walnuts on top. One must know what one is serving.
Nous avons passé une superbe soirée. Le personnel est professionnel & attentionné. La nourriture excellente. L'ambiance & le concept "Speakeasy" est très bien exploité! Merci beaucoup!

Nous avons adoré le concept.
Les drinks étaient excellents ainsi que les plateaux de fromages & de charcuteries.
Côté ambiance ça aurait pu être très plaisant mais il y avait plus de "staff" que de clients. On se sentait observé par les serveurs qui étaient tout prêt de nous du genre 3 serveurs pour une table de 5. À peine notre dernière gorgée de cocktail prise & on nous demandait si on désirait autre chose. C'était franchement malaisant.
Ayant beaucoup aimé le concept, je donnerais une deuxième chance qu Speakeasy.
This is my new favorite place in Montreal! I loved the speakeasy feel from being escorted in to hidden menus in books & the mugshot wall. Our drinks were fantastic, I got the bees knees & my hubby got the old fashioned. Our server David was perfectly attentive & very welcoming & had great recommendations. The food was excellent, we were worried it was going to be too small & expensive but it was actually perfect. It was the right amount of food to fill you up without being overly full & uncomfortable. The cheese plate was divine & more than just hunks of cheese on a plate. We had the shrimp tacos which I'm still craving & the lobster wontons which were perfectly creamy & delightful. Thank you le speakeasy for an excellent experience, we will be back!
Enjoyed the setting, very friendly staff & great service ... got a little noisy as the evening wore on ... probably due to a couple of groups celebrating birthdays! I will definitely go back!
